Then there was one. Currently there is only one shopfront open at Cornerstone Sonoma. Meadowcroft wines is still there, well they were there two weeks ago. The other businesses of restaurants, galleries, and shops have closed up shop.

The grounds and gardens are still meticulously up kept. Me and hubs were the only ones walking about the gardens on a mid-Saturday afternoon. I felt as if we were the last two people on earth. It was eerily silent and quietly beautiful. My two favorite garden installations are the lily pond and the Garden of Contrast. The first time I visited this location was over 15 years ago when it was a garden art gallery only with an admission fee. It had evolved from then to what it is now... shopping plaza with retail, galleries, restaurants, party venue site, and outdoor gardens that are free to visit.

I understand the management company that owns Cornerstone has fallen on hard times. I hope that they will be able to settle that and revive this place. It's a beautiful piece property from the gardens, venue grounds, and modern buildings with gorgeous views of wine country.

The art installations and the immersiveness of each one is mindblowing. It is all free, to boot. There are gardens that charge admission offering a lot less. And none offer anything like Cornerstone Sonoma.

There is a beautiful artificial pond (there used to be more). Lots of metal structures filled with stones. Tall walls made out of haystacks with a symbolic chair at end. Wire trees, some with dangling jewels. A wooden path through the water with art on standing walls.

These are all very bad descriptions so I suggest you see it for yourself. It is also a wedding venue and I have seen some beautiful setups here. There are suitable buildings and open-air structures.

There are also bathrooms open to the public.

Wow, just wow!!! What a beautiful place to visit. I'm so happy we stopped by on a beautiful Sunday morning. The gardens are beautiful, tranquil and so well cared for. Lovely strolls through the different gardens, the lawn and a nice spot to relax by the lily pond.

Make sure to stop by the shops and grab lunch at the Folktable. Delicious food! I had the Open Face Croque Madame and my teen had a pepperoni pizza. Everything was delicious!

Live music on the patio completed our experience at Cornerstone Gardens! We will certainly be back.

Cornerstone Sonoma is a unique cultural center and marketplace located close to both Sonoma and Napa. It is sweet and cozy place to walk, shop, have some wine tasting and enjoy the garden. I’d say in between Napa, Sonoma and Marin county, this is the best place to spend a day off. Absolutely recommend to visit. You can have outstanding food, gorgeous vines and listen to the wonderful music p;aged by local musicians (check the website for a dates, though)
Sometimes they have amazing art exhibitions as well! I’m telling you - the -lace is cool! 😁👍

We were driving to Sonoma downtown and came across this property. We were pleasantly surprised since it's actually a good find where the gardens and the shops were pretty unique. Hey, can't beat the free admission fee for sure. We didn't eat at the restaurant and nor drink at the wineries though. Plenty of parking spaces. Overall, it's a good walk on a nice sunny day.

Wonderful outdoor mall with high-end shops and a cafe. The grounds are beautiful and feature garden hideaways designed by world-renowned architects. Highly recommended for lunch and a relaxing afternoon in wine country, when wine isn't your focus.

This is a complex that is composed of some shops and tasting room/restaurant. It's a nice complex, but it was not busy the day we were there and a number of businesses were not open. It was the week before Memorial Day so I'm sure the upcoming weekend was busy. There are public restrooms and a good amount of parking.

The scenery is everything. I stopped in for lunch while wine tasting. The restaurant is conveniently located near a couple of wineries. Although our server was pleasant the overall service could have been better. The food was good and the portions were perfect.
