I ordered 500 4”-8” Norway spruce trees. I was told they would ship anywhere between 1 day to 3 weeks(expecting them to take 3 weeks). I received my order in a week and couldn’t be happier with the quality. Majority of the trees were 10-12”. Highly recommend!

I order a few hundred seedlings every year from them and most come with good roots and are kept moist in the box while in transit. Of those that are not in good shape, I just take pictures, notify them immediately, plant, and get back with them later in the season and they are happy to give me a credit for the ones that didn't make it. I will keep ordering from them because of great customer service, good plant selection, and standing by their guarantee.

I own a decently good size property and am lining the place with some privacy hedges. I decided on Norway spruce. When I say this place has the healthiest. And overall stunning quality trees I've ever seen I am not at all exaggerating. Those "fast tree, big hedge, blah blah" places do not even come near. Thank you guys you'll be getting so many orders from me now. First 600 for the perimeter And then I'll sprinkle the whole place with other species from you!

This company has it figured out in regards to proper handling and shipping of bare root stock to its destination. Received 120 bare root trees in North Carolina and they were in great condition upon arrival and ready for planting. I feel like the proper care in handling and shipping led to low mortality percentage of the trees planted. I ordered Thornless Honey Locust, Persimmon, Red Mulberry, Hybrid Willow, and Hybrid Poplar species for a silvopasture planting and they're all off to a great start! Thanks for being such a great nursery!

Cold Stream Farm was very easy to deal with and had excellent communication by email and phone. They made last minute changes with ease to help assure customer satisfaction. We are very happy with Cold Stream Farm and will no doubt be a returning customer. We have had horrible experiences from another vendor (tree nursery in TN) so it was refreshing to get what we ordered.

Received 104 with my order of 100 bare root bald cypress. Got them in pots within an hour of receiving them. Ordered on the 22nd and received on the 28th. Everything seems to be great at this point. I'll update review with how many break dormancy.

Ordered several Paw Paw trees which arrived as usual as bare root twigs. Unfortunately they never leafed out. No guarantee was given and no replacement offered. It is likely I will not place another order in future.

EDIT: Now putting at 4 stars. It turns out that my co-worker, who'd assured me MULTIPLE times that they'd placed the order, never did. So the fault was not with Cold Stream and they worked with me and my coworker to process the order. I'm still a bit disappointed by their lack of responsiveness in the first place, as if I'd heard from them earlier we could've caught the mistake and still done a much earlier late winter/very early spring planting, whereas at this point the order didn't arrive until the middle of last week. Aside from this, still good quality plants at a good price, and since my review responsiveness via email with their customer service folks has been much better. A couple of items were not included in the order, probably because they're no longer available due to how late the order was processed, but this isn't really on them.

Previous to this one, I'd had three positive experiences with cold stream and would've given them a 4 or 5 star review for great prices on pretty good quality plants. But now I'd say stay far away.

I placed an order to them for a large re-planting project in MID-SEPTEMBER, and aside from a confirmation email, have not heard from them since. I live in a mild part of NJ and could've planted for fall/winter, which they indicated was possible given the shipping windows on their website. I tried calling, leaving voice messages and sending emails, never heard anything. But they just updated their website recently, so I figure they're not going out of business - possibly just hugely backlogged and will send for a spring planting? Multiple calls and emails later, still no response. Now planting plans for this season are basically killed and still no word from them. Truly, incredibly unprofessional.
