I was excited when I first noticed the new store as I drove by S. Higuera. I'm a residential user, and I love kitchen gadgets. I went in the store everyday the first few days it was open. I have a commercial griddle kn my home kitchen so I go through hand tools. I liked to look at everything and see what else I can upgrade in my kitchen. I bought a few items every time I entered that store. After the third day in a row, Blake said, " Are you going to come in here everyday?" The comment was in front of other customers, and the way he said it was insulting. It was like my patronizing his store that much, wasn't really appreciated or wanted. I haven't been back since, which is really a shame because I enjoyed buying stuff there, and the prices were reasonable.
I can acquire the same stuff online, which is what I have been doing since
the 4 weeks or so I have not been in there. I realize he is young and has a lot to learn as a new business owner, but to me that was un-called for. I do wish him well, and hopefully in the future, something like this wont repeat itself.

Awesome hole in the wall place for cheap restaurant quality kitchenware and cookware. Friendly staff, I was greeted immediately by Russel and asked if I was looking for something in particular, showing me the selection of cutlery I was looking for. Jake rang me up and made friendly conversation, both great workers in a cool spot!

I've been buying from Jake for a few years now...so we are more than excited to have a local, well stocked restaurant supply store to pick up stuff. The prices are very fair and the customer service is phenominal. Very accommodating, knowledgeable and willing work with you to get exactly what you want.

I’m opening a new business in the area and was excited to visit the local restaurant supply. Unfortunately, I was unable to enter as, despite the SLO County mask mandate, both patrons and staff at this establishment were unmasked!
The store appears to contain great items and I was prepared to shop until I felt my health was at risk. I will go online or out of town to a business that cares about the health of its customers.
