Just purchased a enchilada al pastor plate. Sauce is not good. It's mild but still too salty that you can't even taste the flavor of food. Plate costs more than at other taquerias in the region. Poor quality meat.

Mabe it's the Latin in me but Chavez has as long as I can remember made the best carnitas in redwood city and beyond!

Yes this is a blow to a local restaurant but pound for pound Chavez will kick your *ss. Friendly staff clean store what more can be said.

They have good inventory but the prices have gone up so much here I now just go to safeway because it's so much cheaper. Even the Taqueria is very expensive now so I just go to El Grulense
