I actually used to work here and the many complaints of closing early is valid. Our official closing out was 5:00 but at 4:30 we would put the auto doors at open manually only. Just because most people were done with classes around this area by then and it’s not worth keeping some electricity going when you can have it off. And so we wouldn’t work past closing doing end of the daystuff. Must of us were students.

On the other hand no one wanted to work behind the grill. Therefore the line/prep/cooks were overworked. And most times only 2-3 people weee back there when 3-4 people make the kitchen work efficiently. Due to this we sometimes got the order wrong.

I personally worked in the register and cook area. People usually complained about prices and I agreed. It was expensive for college students. I personally am not a college student but it still was pricey to even get a simple snack mix (almost 7-9 bucks, from what I can remember).

Campus marker probably has the best burger on campus. They have pretty good burritos for breakfast. On multiple occasions, my fries felt undercooked.

I will never understand why it's ok to charge college students prices that are twice/triple or more than the retail price of the same item. I would totally shop here for everything I needed if y'all priced items fairly.

Told me they were closed and it was 4pm today on September 24th but their online hours were different as shown.

It's nice that Cal Poly students have access to a mini-market and can use meal credit at it. That's a luxury that many University students don't have. But for non-meal credit holding students, the market is kind of mediocre. Item selection is pretty good for a convenience store, but the prices between items vary drastically. For instance, a small bag of "premium" trail mix costs $7.50 while a large bag of generic trail mix costs $2.99 🤷‍♂️. As long as you know what your getting, Campus Market is OK for an occasional snack but isn't super reliable. Also, the market is frequently overcrowded during the school year, causing long checkout lines, which kind of diminishes the convenience factor or the market.

A good place on campus to get necessities and various food items. Definite markup compared to off-campus retailers, but not overly unreasonable.

The grill is a good place to get the quick bite, and the sushi is not bad either. There is also a salad bar, a pair of hot entrees, and soup of the day available. Kudos to the staff and student employees! 🙂

I go to "Campus Markup" a lot solely because it is convenient and I'm on campus 10 hours a day. Almost everything is massively, frustratingly overpriced - it's a game for me at this point to find the most remote places in this country that are still cheaper than campus market. What's weird is that the price markups are inconsistent - you'll have candy that's the same price as off-campus next to peanut butter that's 3x its normal price.

The cooked food is pretty mediocre, and once again overpriced. I'd recommend the Starbucks breakfast sandwiches on the other side of the store over anything I've tried. The Starbucks, at least, is basically a normal Starbucks.

If you can go off campus, don't go here.

Food is good, but sometimes they close earlier then the time that is set and it throws my whole schedule off. So many times I have tried to order at around 4:30 because they close 5:15 just so that i can eat before class at my favorite on campus place and they are already closed. Like if you were going to close early you should have publicized it that way people know before hand and plan to go earlier.

First off, everything here is overpriced except energy drinks, soda, and other junk food. That is all equal pricing to regular grocery stores, but any real food is way overpriced here. Second, they have a full kitchen here and they make hot food, but you can't order food here. You have to go through GrubHub, which requires you to make an account and even then, the place doesn't show up unless you select campus dining. It's ridiculous, I don't want to support GrubHub or any other food delivery service when I'm literally at the place I want to order from in person. I'm not going to be spending any more money here, inconvenient and overpriced.
