Toxic work environment and terrible internship experience:

The internship begins with the promise of a valuable learning experience, but it quickly became apparent that CAM-Detroit’s approach to interns and employees is questionable. Instead of providing meaningful mentorship, they often assigned menial tasks that didn’t contribute to professional growth.

What’s even more concerning is the apparent cycle of intern turnover. It seems that CAM-Detroit frequently recruits interns and underpays or overworks them without offering them the support and guidance they need. This practice creates a revolving door of interns who are unable to gain the skills and experience they were promised.

I urge anyone considering an internship at CAM-Detroit to thoroughly research the company and carefully consider the terms of the internship. It’s important to make an informed decision and ensure that you won’t be taken advantage of.
