The Pink Cookie Mix.

The Butter Cake Shoppe ladies have done us all a favor by making a mix so we can bake their Pink Cookie at home.

Their sweet chewy sugar cookie gets rave reviews when baked at their shoppe. Fun natural sprinkles and pink color (dragonfruit) make any day a party. If you are geographically near them (I have been a fan of their cakes and treats for 10 years), have been gifted these (or anything they bake), you know! If you are a cookie fan they don’t disappoint.

I enjoy baking from scratch in general, yet it is nice to take a little “break”.
I have baked the Original Vanilla Pink Cookie Mix adding vegan ingredients. Carefully measure your additions of vegan “butter" and egg replacer and cream very well before adding the mix. I used a hand mixer and chilled the dough a bit with lovely results.

My wedding guests cannot stop asking me where our wedding cake was from - Butter Cake Shoppe! I knew in just chatting with Ari initially that Butter Cake Shoppe was going to be my top choice - the flavors are classic but creative, and they were willing to jump all in on my vision. My fiance and I went through two tasting boxes - partially because we couldn’t decide, but mostly because the cake was just that good. The crunch pearls in most flavors are the best part, so do not skip on those. And anything with the pistachio praline is incredible (seriously, you guys should jar and sell that stuff).
We ended up with a gorgeous three tiered ‘Lambeth’ style cake with lemon and strawberry-pistachio layers, plus two sheet cakes in the back for extra servings. Plus, Butter Cake Shoppe provided the cutest frozen anniversary cake so the top tier didn’t have to be saved! I’m not exaggerating when I say that mostly every guest at our wedding asked where the cake was from or said it was the best cake they’d ever had.
As if all of that wasn’t enough, Butter Cake Shoppe also put together a fishing themed groom’s cake for my rehearsal dinner as a surprise for my fiance. He absolutely loved it and all of his fishing friends got a kick out of how realistic it was, and that we used red velvet for the ‘insides’ of the fish. It was so perfect and such a special way to kick off the wedding weekend!

Butter Cake Shoppe did our wedding cake and we couldn’t have been happier. After tasting several other LA-based cake companies, it was no competition- from our first tasting we were blown away by the unique flavor combinations, absolutely delicious, beautiful premium cakes. You can taste how high quality they are and we couldn’t stop thinking about them. We worked with Ari and she was a delight, communication was easy and the process was seamless. Highly recommend and can’t wait to use Butter for future celebrations!

We loved our cake! We selected a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting for one layer and a marble cake with hazelnut filling and buttercream frosting for the other two layers. Everyone loved the cake, it was delicious without being overly sweet and it was beautiful! The team was very easy to work with and very responsive.

They did an amazing job with my grandmothers 75th birthday cake. It was a lemon cake with lemon buttercream and lemon curd. It tasted so fantastic. Everyone was giving compliments on the cake design and flavor. My grandmother was in love!! People even complimented the fondant which was surprising haha.

I’ve used them many times and they are amazing, kind women who rock at their jobs. The process was collaborative and fun and easy and the cake was gorgeous and delicious! I only put a picture of one of the cakes because of the tiny croissants. I mean…whaaaaaat?! Bonjour!
