Saturday was my first time visiting Burt Lake Brewery. Staff was super friendly and inviting, even the lab, Duke. Any place that allows dogs is top notch in my book. Dogs or not, great atmosphere, front porch area was comfortable, even during the rain, and they have plenty of room on nice days to go play a game of corn hole. Despite only having two staff working, even during the rush, they were quick to respond. I plan on going back sooner than later. Sangria is amazing (white or red). Atmosphere and good customer service is everything. Thanks for a great experience.

One suggestion: No food, some finger food/snacks would be nice…or have a relationship with the local pizza place that can deliver while chillin with a beer, wine, sangria.

I have been grappling with this interaction all weekend but as someone who works with the public it bothered me that someone who is a bartender there was so brazen with saying a racist remark to customers it just hasn’t sat with me well and I can’t say I’m
An advocate if when challenged not say anything. Intergrity is important to me, the bartender Corinne said she was from Ypsilanti like we are from both Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti and we were having a wonderful conversation. Then she said she would never move back to Ypsilanti because there were too many ‘black people’ there. I almost lost my cool and had to leave the area immediately. It is 2024, if you are racist, please get educated. Black people are the literal backbone of our country and your prejudice is not welcome. Also you do not the customers who you were serving, how do you know my ancestry.

Had a great time here yesterday. Brought my Hops Passport so I got two for the price of one. Great conversation with the staff. Tried the Whiskey Pretzals and love them. Got some to go. Will be back.

Small little winery just started brewing beers. Had 3 beers on tap-I tried the raspberry shandy wheat, balance of flavors was a little off, tasted like artificial raspberry flavor. Family owned business, looking to expand. Owner serving drinks was friendly and welcoming. Outdoor area looked like it would be really nice to use during the summer!

As Harvest Host members, we were able to spend the night in their lot. Sadly the day we visited, the host was closing very early due to a family emergency. We were able to pick up a 4-pack of the Brown Trout Stout before she closed. I am not a beer drinker but a sip of my husbands could have easily converted me. I loved the notes of chocolate. He recently told me that he might just like this brew better than Guinness! I wish we could purchase their beer locally.

We actually spent a night here in our RV using the Harvest Host program. The evening was nice and a quiet stay. In the afternoon, we enjoyed the company of our server/host, Summer. In all fairness, we caught Summer mid, Wednesday afternoon when there were no other customers but she spent time talking to us and treated us well. We were more in the mood for ales than wine so cannot really comment on the wine but the beers we enjoyed were quite good. If you are in the area, you should really stop by.
