We love Brechting Farms!!! They have a great selection in their market, from peppers to giant zucchini and lots of other delicious veggies! Their you-pick farm is also great, we enjoy picking their hot peppers and canning them for a great price! I cannot recommend this place enough, just wish they were open earlier in the season!!!

Knowing how it works is important- drive in on the right side, stop and get a map to know what is ready and how to collect it. Ask if you need help, we have embarrassed ourselves picking it wrong. The map isnt super accurate, and signage could be a lot better. Pick what you came for- fields are not as beautiful as the more expensive places, but you are getting to pick it yourself at a great price! Pay back up front, and stop in at the market to grab more goodies, like 50 pounds of potatoes for cheaper than the dirt they grew in. Between the market and the fields, there is so much variety of fruits and veggies. There is even a little kids play area with some sand and a slide. All for a good day of gathering your food directly from the earth.

Friendly staff, nice farmers market with a good variety of fruit and vegetables. I like being able to go out into the fields to pick or just buy right inside the fruit stand.
I know they close down for the season starting Thanksgiving in November. I better make another run before they close next week!

Looking for a quiet, old-school farm for buying fresh vegetables and picking your own fruits and veggies? LOOK NO FURTHER. My family first tried places like Schwalliers and Dunnebacks for pumpkins and fall fruits, but both places were as packed as a mall on Black Friday...so crowded! So we did some last-minute searching on Google Maps and stumbled upon Brechtings Farm Market instead. We are so happy we did! They had gorgeous veggies (cabbages the size of soccer balls, anyone?), wonderful u-pick pumpkins, and delicious caramel apples. We chatted with the owner who told us that they've been around for over 150 years and are proud to offer a quiet and steady alternative to the bigger circus-like farms. Everything was fantastic, staff were friendly, and prices were spot on. We have lived in GR for 13 years and are wondering why it took us this long to find this hidden local gem. We will return! This is a MUST for everyone in the greater Grand Rapids area.

We used to enjoy frequenting to this place . Wonderful u-pick options like apples , peppers cucumbers. Prices seem to have jumped up quite a bit this time . Other than that a great way to spend a lazy weekend morning or afternoon

"A very unscrupulous business, raising prices arbitrarily. There is no price list, and it's all up to the female owner of the farm. In the increasingly serious inflation of 2024, 2 pumpkins cost 20 dollar. May I ask, on what basis are you selling them at a higher price than Costco?!"
