We did a cooking class with Chef John, as well as a flight sampling. As far as the tasting, the staff kept honing in further and further on our tastes preferences, offering additional samples, until we settled on two wines we couldn’t leave without, but hadn’t initially chosen in our flight. As far as the cooking class - What a fun atmosphere and experience! The cooking class was phenomenal! Chef John is so personable and talented. It’s a laid back environment with hands on experience, but one where you can really ask questions and gain insight. We had a great, friendly group of participants. It was fun getting to know others and hearing about their cooking experience, both at home and with Chef John. It was our first cooking class, which initially seemed a bit intimidating, however Chef John put us at ease very quickly, setting the atmosphere for the next 4 hours. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend doing this experience and are looking forward to doing more in the future!

My family and I love to come every year to do wine tasting, and I do love dry wine and my favorite there is Cabernet Franc.
How ever all the wines are so good. I was curious about the pear wine. I don’t drink much alcohol to be sincere, but this is a every year tradition and I appreciate the art of making wine in this wonderful place.

This is a wonderful winery. The ambience and decor of the place is very classy, but comfortable. The service we received was very friendly and they were very helpful to any and all questions. We did not have any food there but the wine and beverages that we did have were really good! I would highly recommend doing the caramel apple mimosa. It is an apple flavored mimosa with caramel around the rim and it was delicious.

The drive into the winery was scenic and you pass a wonderful, cascading Vineyard. There were other activities going on nearby. There is an eatery on the property, however, we did not partake as we had eaten prior.

If you’re looking for a new winery to go to, I would definitely recommend this place, if you order a flight of wine or bourbon you will get a keepsake glass to take home.

There are other things that are available not listed on the flight menu. Definitely ask around as I missed a pumpkin old fashioned, which might happen before the end of the season!

My wife and I chose to take a "mini-moon" the week following our wedding and stay at Black Star Farms. Our Diadem suite was everything we could ask for and then some! We were treated to a complimentary bottle of house wine and a delicious charcuterie board upon arrival. We were very pleased with our views of the horse pastures and the cozy stone fireplace. The inn keeper David was extremely welcoming, showing us around the property once we checked in and the amenities were all great! We can't wait to come back and stay again sometime in the summer/fall. Thank you for having us!

This facility has a gorgeous, intimate event center with polite and friendly staff. It's the perfect place to host medium-sized parties or receptions, with a private covered patio with a fire ring located just outside the back of the building.

Had the best 2 days! We stayed in the Atlas room. We did the ultimate package and it was absolutely wonderful! Everyone, David, Mitchell, Emily, Kim, Michelle, Paul, Sherri and Chef John were so nice and such a joy to spend time with. The facilities, employees, food and wine are first class!

We had a simple elopement on 10.20.22 that Black Star Farms helped make exceptional. Everything looked wonderful and even with the rough weather leading up to the day, they had everything ready for our outdoor ceremony but were ready the morning of to relocate indoors in the event the weather didn't hold out. They hosted the small party we had while we wandered the beautiful grounds for our pictures that also turned out perfect. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a stunning view of the vineyards and a wonderful level of hospitality.

Thank you once again Black Star Farms, and many thanks to all the staff that helped along the way. My memory is horrific with names so I apologize in advance, but I believe it was Ingrid and Dustin that helped my wife make everything run so smoothly, and as I had only spent a short time indoors and did not catch her name, the lovely woman tending the bar for our guests and a rambunctious few children was patiently wonderful. Had the most incredible wine/dinner pairing experience tonight! The food served was amazing and the wines were perfectly paired and did NOT disappoint. The service was flawless. We thoroughly enjoyed the introduction by the Hostess and Chef of the food and wine selections. Loved the beautiful property, atmosphere and conversations shared with the community dinning style tables. Overall this was a wonderful and deginately worthwhile experience. We would highly recommend Black Star Farms to anyone looking for a fine dinning experience. We certainly look forward to treating ourselves to more of their gourmet wine and dine evenings.
