Just loaded a few hundred pounds of vacuum packed beef from these folks. A side of beef completely filled my large upright freezer. This is the second side of beef we've purchased in the past few years and this butcher shop is 10 times better than the last one. We got beautiful roasts, steaks, filets as well as loads of ground beef and stew meat, short ribs, the whole works. Well definitely be going back.

If 0 was an option I’d mark it. Terrible customer service. Meat not frozen solid. Couldn’t pinpoint a ready date. And charged an insane amount! And the kicker a 660 pound cow for 200 pounds of meat….typically it’s a 65% return of meat based on weight! Will never return! So disgusted!

I recently purchased beef from a local grower who took the beef to Bauman's for processing because his regular processor could not fit him in. The meat received was quite a disappointment! The meat of the cow itself is fine--high quality, grass-fed beef, but the processing was ridiculous! Half of the meat was thawed in the packages at pickup--who knows if it was a safe temperature, the packages were inconsistent in size--some were 3/4lb, others 1 1/4lbs and everywhere in between. Everything was covered with blood on the outsides of the packaging. The final amount of beef produced from this animal was 40% of the hanging weight---it should have been closer to 60% (where did the other 20% go). And the cost for processing was twice what we normally pay. Will NOT ever recommend this place to process and animal of any kind.

I’ve been taking my deer to be butchered here for a few years and I have to say it’s the best butcher shop for processing your deer. Even weekends they make it available to drop off your deer so meat never gets wasted during warm weather hunting season. Great staff. The meat is vacuum sealed and frozen when you get it. Perfect cuts just like you ask for and they’re specialty meats like sausage and brats are really tasty. Very highly recommended.

Do not recommend. Lady who does orders is rude and this place doesn’t do specialty cuts. I also noticed that some pieces (ribeyes, briskets) were smaller than normal.

We have used Bauman's for years, before Bauman's even bought it!! We love the packaging and the way our beef always is excellent!! They are super clean and honest!!

Ordered half a cow from a farmer and brought it home only to realize that many of the steakes are freezer burnt. Packaging was not sealed correctly. This is a huge waste of money.
