So sad I am a single mother with 3 children saved all year for this we arrived at 3:45 went to get wrist bands and I told the lady we would be there all day $30 a piece she said ok week pass or day I said we are only here today $90 later we get three we walk around buy food five chili cheese, fry buckets $56 then lemonade 6 for $86 we then went bought a T-shirt and a hat $54 we were having a fantastic time by the time we got done walking around and observing everything we went to go ride the rides. We did not know that they took a break from 5:15 to 5:45 which this was fine. We walked around a little bit more until the rides started to open we also played a few of the carnival games. Probably spent about $80 on that, then we noticed the rides were starting to open. My children. Ran to a ride instantly got on then they went to their second ride at the second ride said no I’m sorry you cannot ride this ride. You have to have the green wristband. I said that can’t be right. They’ve only been on one ride that’s impossible. I went to talk to somebody about it and sure enough the lady at the window had given me the wristband that expired at 5 o’clock knowing that we weren’t even getting on the rides until after five because we were going to go to the bump and run derby at 7:30, eat food and I had told her , all this before she handed us the wristbands told me that I needed to take it up with the trailer the red and gray when I went there, the man was very rude. He told me it was impossible that I had bought my wristband at 4 o’clock they wrote it down and I had been there all day. I told him that I was not there all day , called me a liar. My boyfriend got angry and told him you’re going to make this right a man popped out of the door on the side and told us that we needed to get the F out of there which then of course set my boyfriend off he went to knock on the door and they instantly called the police him even more we were escorted off the property to say not worth the money for all the harassment that my family endured they attempted to get my boyfriend arrested for doing what was right we would’ve settled for three new wristband seeing as how the ones that we had weren’t even used instead a group of people that worked there standing in a circle were pretending to fear for their lives so that they could get my boyfriend arrested fortunately he was already in the car and they allowed us to leave

Absolute worst amusement company for kids, took our 2 children to the eastern mi state fair where children under 3 are free. Arnold's staff raised a huge deal denying my 14 month old a carousel ride for not having a wristband when the fair literally doesn't offer them due to only 2 rides available to them. Went to the amusement office and the lady was immediately snoopy and refused to hear the situation. Sad their greed ruins the experience for young children. NEVER again.

I had a bad experience with a woman at the ticket booths, I had given her two 20 dollar bills and after she had given me my wristband I walked a few steps away. After realizing I forgot my 5 dollars change I came back and “Wait I forgot my 5 dollars” (emphasis on ‘I forgot’) and she had said “I’m getting it” as if i was acting like she purposefully had not given me my change. I had admitted I forgot it yet she yelled at me. I didn’t try to argue with her, and I was pretty kind throughout the process of getting my wristband so I don’t see what the issue was. Wristbands are also heavily over priced as well as a 9$ cheeseburger I had purchased which was a huge disappointment. The bun was flat, and it didn’t taste like a 9$ cheeseburger, it honestly tasted gross and dry.

What a horrible experience!!!
Took my teens to the fair, we got there after 330pm. Before leaving my teenagers, we asked for 2 5pm arm bands. Because of course it’s all about scamming you out of as much money as possible.
At 510pm, I get a call, they sold us the wrong ticket and the kids can’t ride. The amusement office was NO help!!!
I expect to get my wallet raided on games and food. Not on arm bands to ride!!
This family will NOT ever go to an Arnold Amusement event again.

On their website it states the Magic Carpet ride was imported from England. Yet the spokesperson claims the ride got sent back to the manufacturer in Ohio. I understand that checks are done to ensure safety. However you were going off of a temporary permit since there were no festivals during the pandemic. And you have your employees check the safety of these rides in the morning prior to operating.. but this is a serious incident. You could have put a lot of people 6 ft under... you should be thankful that the people stepped in to help and you better pray people forgive this incident that is very VERY public.

Kind of sketchy that this is a random house. If you attend one of their carnivals do not pay for anything with a credit card. They will 100% steal from you. They will over charge and double charge at game stations and food concessions. I recommend bringing a certain amount of cash you’re willing to spend and stop at that.

We had a great day at the Michigan state fair. Unfortunately that great day came to an unhappy end when we attended the circus. I’m not an animal rights activist, but the look in the elephants’ eyes made me reconsider. It was absolutely heartbreaking. They seemed lifeless and broken. It was one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen in my life, and we couldn’t stop thinking about it after we left. It’s hard to believe that it’s still legal to use elephants in the US, especially in the year 2021.. Legal or not, Arnold Amusements should be ashamed. I hope the state of Michigan will not be employing them in coming years. And I hope others will keep their families away from Arnold’s trashy, depressing circus. It’s unfortunate because the acrobats were pretty good. The clowns less so, but still. Please think before attending.
