VERY FUN! I love Renaissance festivals, and this is like a little dip into that world. Sea Shanties, very immersive and fun environment, kind and knowledgeable waitstaff. I got the Queen Bee (14% traditional honey forward mead, very smooth and sweet, slightly oakey, thick mouth feel), Momo Taro (15% peach mead, again sweet but a little less sweet, a slight more bite, and a little less viscous than the Queen, a little smokey or something? But not at all overpowering, just enough to make it complex.), the Red Fox (14% grape mead, very much "grape juice" flavor but again has a nice complexity. Apparently used to be more dry but this 2025 version is sweeter), and the Black Stripe (18% strawberry mead, but is basically whiskey with the strength of the earthy flavors, not my cup of tea but I'm sure is killer for someone who likes that). Sad I'm from out of town, I'd be here frequently!

Atmosphere is really unique to the grand rapids are. Gives you that old folky DND style tavern feel. Love their mead and their wine they just came out with is phenomenal. Worth the visit!

This is probably the best themed establishment I've been too. To start, the meads are delicious, my personal favorite being the Captain's Grog. Food options were limited but quality. For a D&D nerd like me, the atmosphere was top notch. The best part however, is the mini game store and game rental area in the basement. Our party had rented the space for a D&D session and it was fantastic. The props, the lighting, the minis available for use, and even a fog machine! It was awesome playing and having full bar service at the same time. I definitely recommend any and all gamers to check it out.

Cute little spot! The decor is very old school - think '500 years ago' old school. The server was very nice and helpful. I had a flight and tried 3 meads. They were all delicious, but the classic mead was a bit too sweet for my personal taste. Still delicious though.

This is the best mead Ive had in MI. Come get the Queens Bee. With they were at the MI Renaissance Festival or that i could get this in metro Detroit. But definitely worth the visit if you are in G Rapids

We were in Grand Rapids to check out some breweries and decided to throw a little mead into the mix. What a cool place. The interior was unbelievable and unique to say the least. Mead was good and staff were great. Definitely a place to stop if you’re in the area

Cool place. Tried a flight of all six varieties of mead, and they were great. Enjoyed a grilled cheese sandwich and had a wonderful conversation with super-friendly staff. Really enjoyed the vibe. 10/10 would gladly visit again.

My friend and I visited a couple night ago for my friends birthday celebration. This was our first and last time visiting this establishment. The server that we had was incredibly rude and nasty. The amount of mead that you get for a pour is the size of a medicine cup. I thought she she bought us out samples. Apparently it was her last night working there and she was having too much of a ball to take the time to attend to us. She was walking around taking a video on her phone of everyone at there tables and when she got to our table I stated that I did not want to be on video and that I had a question regarding our meads that she brought out. She then hushed me for her video, ignored my request for her service and continued to the next table. She later came back to answer my question only to give me a snarky answer that "I don't need that much". What then followed was passive aggressive comments when she checked back on us ("I see your still working on them, I figured") and only bringing my friend water instead of for both of us. Then she gave brought me a water that was in a completely different looking glass than what the rest of the tables had. Hmm yeah I absolutely didn't drink that. I later contacted establishment and speak with manager about what happened only to find out that the terrible customer service stems even higher. After telling the manager the situation and my dissatisfaction I was boldly responded with "well I hope that your next visit is better" with no offer of making it right for me and assuming that I would continue coming back to give them my money. Absolutely appalled.
