We took a 1250 pound steer to be slaughtered. They were 2 weeks behind on processing. When we went to pick up or meet we only came home with 330 pounds. His hang weight was 747. The owner claims they don't weigh the animals before they butcher them. Hard to believe a 1250 pound grain fed steer only produced 330 pounds

Phenomenal customer service. They'll talk through any questions or issues that come up, and go the extra mile to make sure you're taken care of. On top of that, the produced the best bacon I've ever tasted. Just great. Highly recommend them if you are able to use them.

Ruined my beef and then tried to put it back on me! Tastes like locker plant not beef. Owner impossible to talk to just threw it back in my face about everything, couldn't carry a conversation with her. Will definitely not be back and suspect if they treat everyone like they did me won't be around much longer!

Great selection of meats including buffalo. If they don’t have the cut you are looking for, just ask. All around great people, they have even offered to thaw out roasts and brisket for us for the holidays. Best of all they are sourcing from local ranchers that don’t inject a bunch of junk into their herds and flocks.

I've been taking beef and bison to almost every locker plant in North East Kansas for 15 years. I recently stumbled on to Alta Vista Meat Co and they have by far the best customer service and friendliest staff around. They have my business from now on.

Great customer service. The employees and owner are friendly and really care about their customers. They were the only locker that had after hours contact information on their Facebook page. They responded promptly and I was able to get a broken legged cow processed, thus avoiding a complete loss. The difference between Alta Vista Meat Co. and other locker plants is their customer service. Backing up to unload the animal is pretty tricky as it is a tight spot, however, it is a small price to pay to for the great customer service. I would highly recommend Alta Vista Meat Co. They would be a good choice from the novice meat seeker all the way up to the grand high pooh bah of meat connoisseurs
