As a handyman, I get tasked with a variety of projects. Recently, I needed a 6’ length of 1/8” thick angle iron cut into 2 sections. ACE went above-and-beyond to find a staff member (Marty?) familiar with steel to cut this for me; not your typical request, but saved me hours. I can always rely on their subject matter experts to help me tackle challenging projects. Alamo Ace continues to be my “go to” store!

The store I visited is in San Ramon, Calif and I’m quite thankful for the women who work in this store. Women are simply more welcoming and engaging, and the men are typically more task oriented, while still being respectful. I love the gift items section, great quality, unique, etc! Often go into store just to browse this section and typically find something to purchase for someone. We simply don’t have many other gift shops in the area! TY, Ace Hardware!!!

Best local nursery! I love going into the San Ramon Ace garden center to see what new plants they have. I find that variety, quality and value of thier plants be so much better than the other 2 local nurseries. And the staff is so friendly, knowlegeable, and available! It is a joy to shop there. I also appreciate that they are happily willing to find/order something they don't have in stock.

They advertise order on line and pick up in 15 minutes. You order and they charge your card. 10 minutes later they email you they are out of stock and you have to wait 7 days for it to arrive. You cancel order and then they tell you your money will be refunded in 7 to 10 days. BEWARE they play with your money!

Customer service completely incompetent. First and last time visiting here. Alamo branch team are personal and helpful, here you are a number. I pointed out the cashier had under run my goods by $10 (yes almost a loss for them based on his incompetence) and he made me go back up stairs to get a price on 4 bolts that he had missed (I only had one bag!)

I bought a smart key from eBay for my Toyota Prius, brought it to this location and they programmed it for $65, all worked perfectly, Toyota charge $125. Highly recommended

My favorite Ace!! Everyone is so friendly and genuinely helpful. I like to bring my dog in and they’re all so sweet with her. I never would have thought that grabbing a coffee and strolling through a hardware store would become a favorite activity of mine!
