I used to frequent Chefs Toys since 2018 - and recently it's been disappointing. Ever since they got purchased by another company the quality of products has gone down! I have always purchased True and decided to give their own label Kintera and it was horrbile quality. I will no longer be purchasing from them. I also noticed their pricing is very high. I stopped over at Action Sales and their True was much cheaper (400 dollars cheaper for a prep-table).

The place is a nice place to browse around and kill some time. I've been there a few times and the employees are normally so professional and ready to help in whatever way possible. Today was a different experience. The two young ladies that were attending the store registers today seemed as though they didn't really want to be there or be bothered with customers, which is very sad when you choose a job, where dealing with the public is a constant.

Absolutely Deluxe!
Jesse usually works the San Diego store; but as excellent a customer service guy as he was, I'm certain it's that awesome in general there. I had some intimidation about going there as just a run-o-th-mill person, having nothing to do with the restaurant industry. Turns out; the big Public Welcome sign out front is for real.
After a good deal of roaming around and being generously assisted, came up with some purchases I'm mighty happy with, say nothing of just what a Cool time it was just cruisin' through the joint. I've no doubt it's very much the Real McCoy for serious folks in the industry as well. Be sure and ✓ em out

I dropped off five knives for their professional sharpening service. Turn around time was excellent, I was able to pick them up in exactly 24 hours. 4 out of 5 knives came out perfect. The 5th knife was almost perfect, but there was still a considerable burr hanging off the edge that I had to strop off. Overall I'm satisfied and I think their knife sharpening service is a great value. Will bring them back again for sharpening next time.

Staffs are helpful, but they don’t have a good selection of work clothes and work shoes.

Best restaurant supply store I've found period. Prices are always right on, service is great. This one is particularly well stocked, Kevin always takes care of me every time. BTW you don't need a business or restaurant to buy here, I get everything for my home kitchen here too. Everything from cutting boards french tops to spoons to bone saws!

Love love love this place! Great selection and good prices. Service good too. Wish they had better hours, but I know it's more for chefs and restaurants, so those hours work best. I'm just an adventurous home cook. Still five stars.

Good selection of restaurants supply. However, they don't keep their prices consistently. Their labeled price tag is different from what they charged you for. And what kind of business that hiding the prices from you while you are checking out at the cashier!? They give customers the total amount, and ask to pay for (hopefully this cashier is scanning everything correctly). You sign and agree to the total amount, and then they give you your receipt. Tada, at that time I found their problem: price on the receipt is higher than price tag. I took the picture and showed it to the cashier, her reply: "it is ok...." nope, 'it is ok' is not the answer that I am looking rite now. I don't need the money back because it is only few dollars off. I want them to improve their business strategy, be clear what you are offering to the customers.
I also added 2 pictures for this review : price tag, and the receipt.
