Joel specializes in the young Encephalartos and Dioon species, many of which are rare. Joel contacted me from a Facebook group when I inquired about adding a Dioon edule to my collection. Joel offered to get me happily involved a few plants I was interested in. Being skeptical, I always choose my vendors carefully, I checked my sources to make sure Ice Blue Cycads is a legit company. It turns out that Joel has an excellent reputation in the industry for integrity. This industry has dishonest players.

He informed me that he had other plants in his collection that I might find interesting. I ended up investing in two rare plants beautiful plants. One was the Encephalartos Arenarius True Blue.

Joel's customer service was par nun. He patiently answered all my many questions and concerns. The plants arrived promptly in PERFECT condition. The caudex ( the woody stem and root) was twice as big as advertised.
The website is simple, up-to-date, and straightforward without unnecessary fluff. If you interested investing in plants range from 35.00 to 1,000.00 dollars, LOOK NO FURTHER...

Let me first start off by saying I am SO glad I discovered this Nursery. Recently I have discovered my love for cycads, especially blue ones and found Ice Blue Cycad Nursery. They have so many rare species of blue cycads and at a very reasonable price.

What I love about this nursery is that many of the species Joel carries are endangered, and what he is actively doing is producing new cycads from parent plants to prevent them from going extinct.

The cycad i ordered came perfectly without any damage to the cycad, the roots were nice and healthy.

I would also love to say Joel is extremely knowledgeable on what he is selling and is extremely friendly and willing to help with any questions you have. I highly recommend this nursery, and I am already thinking of what I will be buying next!

They have a ton of really nice cycad species and hybrids! I have been very happy after every single one of my purchases. Always super helpful and willing to answer questions on cycad care. Definitely my favorite online plant shop and I will be buying more plants in the future

I got 5 Cycads from Ice Blue Cycads. They were healthy plants that have grown well and have been a lot of fun to watch mature. I would highly recommend Ice Blue Cycads. The Nursery was pleasant and reliable to do business with. The cycads were reasonably priced.
