After purchasing online I was contacted quickly and able to pick-up at a convenient time. Larry spent a fair amount of time with me answering my questions and explaining the care of each plant. His expertise was impressive and much appreciated, I left feeling confident about my landscaping plans. Pleased to support a nursery committed to the local ecology!

I've made multiple purchases here, but feel like it's time to take my business elsewhere. On the plus side, the Linda Vista website is detailed and useful. You can search on all kinds of attributes and even find out if the plant you need is in stock. Also, the owner is quite knowledgeable and (if he's there) usually willing to spend time teaching the ins-and-outs of native plants.

On the flip side, the actual business isn't as slick and sophisticated as the web presence. You'll need an appointment to pick up plants, which may take days to organize (and be changed at the last minute for . . . reasons). The plants are sometimes a bit shaggy and unkempt, but they are presented to you as a take-it-or-leave-it proposition; they will be set out for you on their driveway. You are not allowed to pick from a selection,

On at least one occasion, I've arrived to find that the plants I asked for were not in stock, and although we'd emailed back and forth to set an appointment, there was no mention of the inventory problem.

Sales are cash only--no Venmo, credit cards or any other electronic form of payment accepted (even on the website). You won't get a receipt and returns are not accepted.
