Great area to hang out and fish. A little pricey because you end up catching a fish every ten minutes or less which is great fun but adds up! Beautiful scenery and cute cows hanging around! Love this place. Will definitely be back! Oh also don't follow map quest directions to the end, turn on the the road with the hagemann sign!

Stumbled across this place on the way into Bodega Bay. Took my boys (3 & 5) here and they had a blast. Landed 5 trout (some big some small) in less than an hour. They have everything you need or you can bring your own tackle. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

What a wonderful place to experience first-time fishing! Our family found a quiet place up the slope under the shade of the tree but stayed for the most part next to the water. Putting the live worms into the hook to make bait was a squishy moment but part of the fun. This was overall a relaxing and therapeutic family activity. . There's only Trout in the pond and must buy all the fish you've caught. Quite pricey than buying Trout from the grocery but the adventure is all worth it.

Great family place. Quiet and peaceful. Fun fir everyone. Great views friendly people and a nice place for a picnic. There is also horseback riding. Do NOT follow Google directions. There is a sign on Hwy 1 for Hagemann. Do NOT take Bay hill rd. They are on Hwy1.

You don't need a fishing license. They charge per person, fishing or not. You can rent poles or bring your own, they also sell bait. There's no catch and release, so you have to keep and pay for what you catch. They even clean and ice your fish for an additional $1/fish. Very good for families and beginners. What makes it good for beginners is that you're going to catch something with a little patience. So if you have no experience and no equipment, you can rent everything and they'll give you a quick tutorial on how to use it and you're set to catch a ton of fish.

Best time ever for a first fishing trip with my son Jayson. He caught the first trout within 20 seconds of casting his line in the water. I do recommend taking the family. A very special place to make memories together.
