Unethical, do not waste your time. Could not access the classes and was told I could not get a refund after spending a whole day trying to deal with Canvas and passwords. Owner was not understanding. There are other grant writing courses to take, even better in person where you’re not at the mercy of technology and an owner who just wants to take your money.

Professor Allison Jones has created a gem in this field where a novice can come in and learn the amount of extensive information required without getting overwhelmed and come out of it confident they can write a winning grant. This was probably the most well organized class I've ever taken. Allison used Canvas so effectively and made learning about the arguably intimidating skill and study of Grant Writing so much more approachable and easier to understand. You get weekly feedback on the grant you write for the course, individual time to meet with her during office hours, and great peer review sessions. I'm so glad that I went with this program. I took Alison's Spark the Fire grantwriting class this past spring. While I’ve worked in communications and design, grant management, and donor development, I wanted to deepen my understanding of grant writing.

The online Zoom class had about 20 participants and met once a week. Each session came with a fair amount of homework, including readings, quizzes, and assignments.

The course was well-structured, with each class building on the previous week’s lessons. By the end, we had each completed a full grant proposal for an organization of our choosing. The experience left me feeling confident, knowledgeable, and empowered.
