We had a great experience both with the owner of Cedar Ridge Sod and our sod itself! We picked up our fresh cut sod and installed it same day. We live in Payson so we have granite soil. We prepped the area by laying 2 inches of topsoil, then a thin layer of compost. We wet the ground and sod on both sides as we laid each strip, tightly pinching the seams together. We drenched it the first day of install. Then watered 30 minutes, twice a day for 2 weeks, watered every other day for a week to let the roots dig deep, now we're on week 4 watering once a day for 30 minutes. Here are some photos of our sod at the 4 week mark and the day of install. This is 600sqft, less a little to trim for the walkway. The elk got into it on day 3 and punched some good sized hoof holes. It damaged the grass but its recovering quickly with fresh sprouts coming in. Awesome experience and I definitely recommend Cedar Ridge Sod!

I would highly recommend Bob Flake and Cedar Ridge Sod. I scheduled a delivery of Sod and he delivered on time in the morning and was able to place the pallets uphill to make life easier. He was helpful in providing some great tips on install. We ordered 4 pallets too many and Bob was able to find another buyer, came by a picked up the extra pallets and gave us a partial refund. He was also available after delivery to answer some questions. Thank you Bob! Pictures are 3 weeks after install and after first mowing.
