Excellent "out of the way" brewery located in the Skull Valley area on Tonto Road. They brew their own beer( and have at least 8-12 varieties). They also sell pub food at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and informed about the types of beer they brew.
If you're looking for someplace "different" and you're a beer drinker, you owe it to yourself to give Barnstar a try

Friendly and welcoming owners. Kid friendly; lots of dogs and two mini horses on the grounds. Small brewery, but about a dozen different brews to try. My favorite was their imperial IPA, which was nicely balanced - I think they have a winner with this one. A little difficult to get to, a few miles down a dirt road; but not disappointing at all. Prescott treasure! Only open during the weekends!

Comfortable atmosphere with gorgeous views. Love the dogs and the beer! Great friendly service as well! Highly recommend this place.. worth the drive (or the ride)!
