A lovely tree farm with tons of trees to choose from of all varieties, our North Star Christmas Tree Farm visit exceeded expectations and was a fun day for everyone. When our usual tree farm closed this year in Harbor Springs, we didn't know where to turn. I found North Star on Google and though it was not as close, it was worth the drive. The owner was very friendly and helpful, while the gift shop and outside Christmas hut were super cute. Though we brought our own, they even provide saws should you need one and also will cut one for you if you'd prefer. It's easier for them to do cash sales, so bring some with you. The tree selection far surpassed the other farm we had gone to in the past in the amount and types available. I was looking for a tall, skinny Fraser Fir for my smaller home and found exactly what I needed. We loved the variety and feeling like we were walking in a pine forest. Overall we loved the experience and would go back. Thanks!

Picked up a fresh cut fraxer fir for about 10 dollars a foot. We could have cut our own, but with all the deep snow, we decided not to. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. They had a good variety of hand-made fresh wreaths also. When I got home and opened the truck cover, it smelled like a pine forest, so the tree was definitely fresh.

Jeff and Brook (and kids too) are wonderful hosts at the Tree Farm! Our extended family of 11 enjoyed “the chase” and eventual falling of 3 Christmas trees for our family’s 2020 Christmas! We were greeted with a coloring book and crayons for our grandkids. Then, on to many, many species of beautifully cared for and shaped Christmas trees! We chose Douglas firs. Overall, a great family experience hosted by a wonderful, local small business family. I highly recommend a “family adventure” at North Star Tree Farm

This was our first year going to North Star and cutting our own tree. We have been to many Northern Michigan Christmas tree farms and hands down this has been our best tree yet. We lost so few needles we never had to sweep and the bows held every ornament we put on it. I wish I knew what kind of tree we got so next year we could get the same. It was at the end of row 4 and was $9 per foot. Any idea what kind it was? Thanks for the great tree, we will be back!

Great people. Great trees! This has been a tradition for our family for several years. Always very helpful and if you don't want to saw your tree, a nice person will come and cut it for you. Great time to make a memory!

First time going out and cutting down our own Christmas tree and honestly was the best experience. Everyone there was super friendly and very helpful. Fun activities for the kids, Christmas movies playing and free hot cocoa. Can’t wait to come back next year!

This was an amazing place to get a Christmas tree for several years. However, their lot is now totally picked over with most trees growing double trunks. No maintenance when younger and no direction to a new locations to cut. Very sad as the only place in Northern Lower Michigan. Was a long time family tradition!!
