Today was an interesting experience at food city, a new program for loyal customers started, so to take advantage of the sales one must clip coupons on the Internet.
Amelia, the cashier in self service, was just amazing, didn't loose her cool for a second.
Walked me through the app, set it up and still managed to help other customers.
In a world where businesses and employees seem to forgotten the importance of customers service it was such an incredible experience finding a person like Amelia!!!!

I had not been to this Food City for over a year, as it is a bit out of my way. Went there with my wife today, and had the most pleasant 'check-out- I have had in years. The cashier by the name of TONI was outstanding. She has 20 years as a cashier and is proud of having that job. She is a true professional. She immediately greeted us with a friendly conversation and kept that going for the entire check-out duration. And I watched her. She did not make any mistakes in tallying up the prices of the items I bought. Multi-tasking at its best!!

Really disappointed with the deli here now. A year ago (and before that even) they had really good workers who were nice, spoke English, and didn't skimp while making your food. Now the women are all bitchy, refuse to speak English, and give you half portions if you're white compared to what they give Latinos. I watched a Latino guy get a HUGE burrito with tons of asada right before me, and mine was half the size with 1/3rd the meat directly after because I'm white. I know enough Spanish to order food, but not enough to argue about portion size. These women are perpetuating racism because what do you think the white folks are going to tell their friends about this store once they get home? Also, they only have 1 salsa now (salsa verde) which does NOT go with beef, and now they refused to put queso cotija on, only some whack shredded cheese that has no place in Mexican food unless its melted. And the tacos are so small now they're literally 2 bites each. Half the size of 1 year ago. This store need to get its shit together, have salsa roja like they always used to, put queso cotija on if requested, know enough English to at least sell their products, and stop discriminating against people who aren't latino.

Food City has probably the best Meat Department around when it comes to prices, and making your dollars, or foodstsmps stretch. They have prettymuch every kinda meat except for cube steak (u have to go to Walmarts, Frys, etc for that), but everything else, u cannot beat their prices. One time I caught Ribeye on sale at Fry's for $5.97/lb, but u can usually always get it for around that at food City, especially if ur buying in Value Packs. They also have a killer Produce dept. Now I aint gonna lie, the whole store is more geared towards Mexican food cooking, but u can successfully shop for any ethnicity of cooking ur looking to do, n come out with all u need (unless ur making ((cube)) steak fingers). Between their easy access setup, good variety of meats and fresh produce, good location, and great prices, When it comes to cooking Mexican food, I can now make some of the absolute BEST Mexican dishes I've ever had!

Food city is ok but they are pricey. There is a deli/ restaurant where you can get burritos and different things made for you which is nice. It's just a bit expensive for my liking
