A charming Japanese-style café with an irresistible lineup of sweet and savory pastries—each one looked like it belonged in a display case and on my plate. Tried the red bean taiyaki, but it didn’t win me over; custard is next on my list. The coffee had a nice depth but nothing groundbreaking. The croissants, however, were perfectly flaky and buttery—definitely a standout. Despite the generous seating, the place was packed, which only adds to its cozy, buzzing charm. Definitely a cute spot to chill and snack on!

White wolf is a sweet little gem located in the heart of downtown Clawson. Their Asian-inspired pastries, offer unique flavors, and impeccable displays of art. The chocolate raspberry cake, Yuzu lemon cheesecake, and the Mille crêpe cakes are a go-to! There is usually a line, but service is fast and attentive. If you’re not in a hurry, I recommend getting a coffee and relax in their cozy, modern couches with a great view of the downtown buzz.

I love everything about this place—the vibe, interior, furniture, and the taste of their coffee, pastries, cakes, and bread. But last weekend, I was even more impressed by the staff.

I ordered a cup of roasted flavored coffee, cake, and bread, and my 21-month-old daughter accidentally spilled the coffee all over the floor. I asked a worker, the one with his hair tied up and a beard, for a mop so I could clean up the mess. He reassured me, saying it was okay and that it happens all the time, and he even offered to replace the coffee I spilled. I was really impressed by this. I wanted to tip him, but I didn’t have any cash at the time. If I see him again, I’ll happily give him a tip next time.

Food was good. Nice dessert collection. I got a tea which was toasted matcha, it wasn't for my taste buds 😃. But the place is very expensive. It costed us $50 for two.

Finally got to visit this place! I knew about it from the Detroit hour magazine. Super cute & inclusive environment. The baristas were friendly & knowledgeable. The honey lavender Latte was delightful. Looking forward to our return

I hadn't been to the bakery in nearly a year. I decided to try it again, since I see they've put in work to improve the pastries.

I tried the ube cheesecake which was okay. I didn't get much ube flavor, but the texture and taste was otherwise nice.

The white chocolate coffee crème brûlée was terrible and a waste of $6. I'm unsure why the bakers torch the sugar in advance and then cover it. The sugar melted into a thin liquid, but at the same time it hadn't been torched adequately so it was grainy along the edges.
The custard itself was overcooked and had scrambled on the bottom.

When I started writing this review, i thought it was a solid 4 stars from my experience. But now that I’m thinking about it...it might be 3 stars.

The good:
The pumpkin spice latte was amazing and their macarons are the best I’ve ever had. The ube cake was okay.

The not so good:
1. They asked for here or to go? We said for here and they still gave us paper plate and plastic forks and a paper cup for the latte. I didn’t like that especially when it’s not cheap. The drink AT LEAST should’ve been in a cup with a saucer situation.
2. The employees need a little more energy. They stare blankly at you until you realize they’re gonna help. Instead, ask “hello! I can help who’s next!” 👍🏼
3. The layout and seating is not inviting at all. It just feels very cold in there. Someone needs to work on the feng shui.

Anyway, it’s nothing worth running back to for these reasons.
