I called this store from California with a bit of a special request. Both Mike and Denise exceeded my expectations and helped me with my problem. I was so impressed, but in a way, not surprised, as this was my old hometown of Newberry. Although I’ve been gone for over 50 years, that’s the kind of people I remember. Thank you!

I am a subcontractor in the Newberry area and have gotten treated poorly on numerous occasion at this fine establishment. The gentlemen Brian Colbar was rude and told the contractor I work for (Joe Caswell {Tribal Elder}) he had to wait at the front for his materials ticket and his guys would load the material. Mr Caswells team of guys usually have to load their own materials and has been doing that for over ten years now. Mr. Joe Caswell has done business there and in hindsight has most likely purchased as much material from D&D Hardware than what they currently have in stock.
To begin, I introduced myself to this "gentleman" a couple days ago because I see he was having a bad day and I wanted to cheer him up by being friendly. He hesitated to shake my hand and did not respond with his name or even a simple greeting of the day. Many people in the Newberry area rely solely on D&D Hardware for building materials because they have a Monopoly here as they are no other stores that sell the bulk materials us contractors/subcontractors seek. My fellow citizens receive this kind of warm greeting from Mr Brian Colbar on a daily basis.. I told him he was unprofessional and I get treated like I'm subhuman., This is unacceptable conduct from the manager of this fine establishment.

We put a major addition on our house last summer, we purchased the majority of our supplies from D&D. Everyone there was so helpful and knowledgeable, especially Mike and Tim, real professional's in their field that provide excellent customer service and support.

I've bought lumber, tools and some fuse panel parts from D&D. I'm always amazed how much stuff they have. There are some great people that work there too. Very friendly.

Building a new home can be very stressful and difficult at times. The folks at D & D Home Center have been absolutely terrific! Tim is great! He is very knowledgeable and always watching out for our best interests. Recommending the best materials and even has a great eye for "colors". Tim seems to anticipate our needs and always comes up with viable and cost effective solutions. You just don't realize how much goes into a major project like home construction. I would highly recommend D & D to anyone working on a project. Both stores in Newberry and Engadine are great! Cannot say enough good things about the people at D & D and especially Tim!
