Visiting the area from Durham, NC this past weekend. Called the orchard on Saturday to see if you were open on Sunday. Fellow told me, 'well, sorta...", then explained the self-serve setup. I thought, whaaattt? But I really wanted some apples to bring home to North Carolina. So we made the trek out from Muskegon on Sunday and found the farm. I was blown away!! Had my favorite varieties, and several that I didn't realize were available. The friendly nature of the man I talked to on the phone, and the "Honor System" of getting your own apples just blew me away. That WAS AWESOME!! I filled up my trunk and dropped the cash in the pail. Very positive experience!! Thank you, Kooistra Orchards, for making my Fall!!!

Lots of different kinds of apples, also pumpkins, tomatoes. They take cash or checks and, if after hours, there is a cash/pmt box. I got 1/2 peck each of Macs, Courtland ($5) and Honey Crisp ($8). Perfect in every way. So many kinds that it was hard to decide!

They have a nice roadside stand and a good selection of Apples. The prices are good and the owners are very friendly. The Apple's are sorted and bagged, or you can pick your own. I have been going here for years.

They are so incredibly friendly! They have a great selection and an abundance of apples. You can either buy from the stand or go pick your own. The trees are loaded with apples right now.

They had two apple pies that my wife was interested in, but we wanted to go apple picking. The lady said don't worry, I'll put them in the back and you can pick them up when you come back!

They also have amazing pumpkins at very reasonable price that they grow themselves. Really fresh right from the farm!

Everyone was good about wearing masks too!

I love 5his farm! The apples are so delicious and the owner ie such a nice man! Any kind of apple you could want plus there are days in the weekend that you can pick your own! They also have pumpkins, squash corn on the cob( while it lasts)and more!
