It's definitely a Genera Store.. This store not only carries blankets, screws ,personal essentials, cold food, hot food, hot & cold beverages, but also has alcohol. They also have a kitchen that prepares food to go.. Thank you for having chocolate milk this morning....

Great people, good food, decent prices. Helpful to tourists. A popular spot with competitive fuel prices for the area.

Stayed across the street at the Silver Sands hotel, and had to pop into the General Store a couple times while on a weekend get away. We spent our first day hiking and playing in the dunes, only for my daughter to suffer a minor injury diving into the sand. Had to first grab some Tylenol and Ibuprofen to help her mitigate the pain she was in. Yes it was higher in cost there, because it's a CONVENIENCE store. I didn't have to take the time to drive 20-30 minutes to find a CVS that would have probably had it for cheaper. Also after spending all day at the dunes, we were starved but too tired to get cleaned up to go out somewhere for dinner so we picked up some pizzas and some subs. The pizzas were actually good (i was expecting something like gas station pizza, but these were actually really good). Also they had chocolate milk for my kids, and beer for my husband that we picked up. I could have found cheaper beer, chocolate milk, and pizza; but again it would have required more effort then I wanted to put in while on vacation. Totally appreciated the General Store. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I appreciated it being in the heart of everything making it super easy for those of us there on vacation.

The place is really close to the sand dunes which is a plus. But that is the only benefit. The issue I had was the cost. They price gouge due to nothing being around. It shouldn't cost almost 10 dollars for 6 hersheys chocolate bars. A can of corn cost 3.19. I would stop in Holland or somewhere else if you are going to be cooking food. Beer was also expensive.

It's a bummer that the new owners changed the pizza, it used to be the best in the area. Now... cheap, poor quality pizza at a higher price, the kids didn't even like it.

Awesome crew there, great (and only) salads in town and the pizzas are better than some pizza joints I know. Crust not too thick nor thin, and just the right amount of sauce. Toppings are generous too.

Terrible customer service. Workers wore no masks and handled food with no gloves or masks all 2020 season. They had no covid protocol (sign on door saying mask required with state's executive orders, health department or liquor control orders) required to have customers enter store wearing face masks. An employee tested positive for covid and the store still did nothing to protect customers. Store's only concern is money and not customers or employees safety
