My husband and I have used Connor and his amazing team for a few years now and have never been disappointed. He’s always flexible and works with us to drop off and pick up. The shop is clean and well kept. I am always surprised by how much meat we get back from each deer. He works with a great taxidermist as well (Landon - Last Light Taxidermy) and it is nice to have that connection as well.

Dropped off an 8pt on 17th to be caped and processed. They called today 26th to pick up cape. It reaked of death. There was 15/20 more trophy capes lying there as well, I was there 20 minutes after they called this morning. Took deer to taxidermist today he may or may not be able to save it. I now have doubts how my meat was handled because I think they got behind during Thanksgiving. I called up there and basically it was my fault for not picking it up sooner. NO ONE CALLED OR TEXTED IT WAS READY. My cousin gad one processed and caped at same place and they called him telling him Cape was ready. This was my wife's first Michigan deer, first non typical and in my opinion they let my wife's deer spoil. They have lost the right to process any more deer for me,they have lost my trust, I respect every animal I harvest and I am very anal on how the meat is trimmed, cleaned, processed, refrigerated. I'm sorry but I will never return, that might be standard operating procedures for Michigan but that dog won't hunt down in Louisiana at a real deer processor.

The only reason why i am giving them 2 stars is because they do have fast processing. Otherwise i ordered their venison breakfast sausage and they said they mix it with pork. What you get is not mixed with pork it is strait venison! If it was mixed with pork it would form patties. This just falls apart there is no fat in it for a binder. I will not be back! Save your money and debone the deer yourself and take the meat to Zick’s in Berrien Springs they mix it with 50% pork and it is the best venison breakfast sausage you will ever have! Plus you get doubly your meat back from them! Also they have the best german venison balogna you have ever tasted! So after making som patties which was hard to do because the sausage does not have enough fat content you almost have to mix egg into it to get it to form. I am changing my review from a 2 star to a 1 star. The breakfast sausage is basically ground venison with a little bit of sage. If there is any other seasoning in it you will not taste it. I come from a family that knows how to process venison and make good sausage and if you can not smell the seasoning in the air for sausage it is not right and there is no smell of seasoning in it! Like i said if you do not have time to make your sausage go to Zick’s in Berrrien Springs and they are even cheaper at $3/lb and you get double the meat! You wont be disappointed with them and they even weigh out your meat in front of you so you know how much you have and how much you are getting back!

After a referral from a friend and rave reviews here online I tried out Keslers'. Sadly I didnt seem to get the same service others preached about, especially when I see several of my friends 5 star reviews here which i'm sure was well earned! Also the shop out back looked very unsanitary when I dropped off and had an older man making some rude comments towards me and others. I honestly question eating anything after seeing how dirty it was, they could at least hose it down but im sure people would be getting sick if it was bad. Also had difficulty with the hours to pickup, and services provided compared to the competition. Also one of their employees was complaining about how the city shut them down for being out of zone for that business if that matters, so I guess they didnt play by the rules in the past but has been remedied. Had to leave a less than perfect review, especially since my friends like the place but just need to share my experience, sorry if this hurts any feelings.

Terrible experience with my deer processing here. Several weeks late and horrible quality. Snack sticks not edible. Jerky wet and sticky. Horrible customer service. They ignored my feedback and would not give me a partial credit for some very expensive specialty meats. Will never use them again. Worst experience with a processor in 30+ years.
