Stayed one night at the beginning of July. Basically an open field with hookups throughout. There is a camp host on site which is nice. He advised to park wherever. It's water and electric but I believe some spots are with sewer but there's also a convenient dump station at the entrance if need be. I chose water/electric spot #50. You pay with cash or check in the kiosk at the front. I didn't see bathrooms or showers so I don't know about that. But was fine for the evening. Took in a nice sunset but unfortunately I didn't see Escanaba in the moonlight. Too overcast.

Went to the state fair, we enjoyed seeing the animals, & their babies. Walking around checking everything out, got some lemonade, n kettle corn. Watched our grandkids enjoy the rides. A fun perfect weather day.

Love going to the fair! There is a charge to get in and then another to ride rides ($1/ticket with most rides around 4 to 6 tickets, or $30/wristband for all day rides). Barns are open so kids can get up close with the farm animals (no cost). There is also a DNR pocket park with a pond stocked full of fish. They have poles and worms so kids can try fishing (no cost).

Excellent time , lots of food options and concerts included with entry fee. Rides and games for the kids (or adults!) and allot to look at . Free events are available once you pay your entry. Enjoyable for most levels of income. Rides and games are provided by Skerbeck and have an excellent safety rating.

We really enjoyed ourselves here! I'm new to the area and was pleasantly surprised on the size of the fair and all the stuff to look at and shop. Lots of food choices and animals too.

Always a fun time for which ever event is being held at the UP State Fair Grounds!
We attend a few events there per year. The main one being the UP State Fair. Its a great time with a ton of things to do, see and eat!
I highly recommend attending the UP State Fair along with other fun events they host there!
