I recently visited Donckers at 137 W Washington St, in Marquette, MI. I had a very nice breakfast at Donckers. It's located downtown above a candy store.. I ordered a blueberry pancake and it was delicious. My coffee was filled as needed. It was a very nice breakfast area that had a nice second floor view of the downtown and lake area..I had a nice sunrise as I waited for breakfast. A very good place to go to.

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Donckers. The servers were friendly and super attentive. The atmosphere was lively and fun. The breakfast/lunch counter is on the second floor, and there is a candy counter, ice cream, coffee counter, and gift shop on the first floor. There are plenty of vegetarian options. Our omelette and breakfast sandwich were perfectly cooked and full of yummy cheese and veggies. Breakfast came with a choice of lightly dressed greens or a half portion of hash browns. The only thing I did not like were the hash browns. They were pretty much standard foodservice fare and totally tasteless, so I would recommend the greens for the side choice.

Great overall experience here. The workers are attentive and ready to help. The store is also very clean. They have a wide variety of chocolate, truffles, bark and more. My only issue is I got a pretzel stick that looks like it was covered in a thick layer of chocolate. My husband picked it out and then once I took a bite of it after paying, I realized it was caramel and chocolate, which was really a letdown. I wish that the pretzel rods were individually labeled since they come individually packaged.

Cozy spot. Nice staff. Great brunch. We hadn't been here in over 5 years and brought family members on this trip. We asked for the best view and immediately were seated at the windows overlooking the main street with a view of the lake if you looked just right. We also liked the gift shop which had a creative assortment of items, some useful and some just beautiful and fun. We chatted about sustainability and I was thrilled that they don't use plastic bags in the gift shop. I would visit Donkers all the time if I didn't live 500 miles away!

Very cool candy store that's been around for 135 years. They have a couple of neat stores attached to it as well. In the lower portion of the 1 is where they make the candy. If you sn imagine it, they have it. Huge selection of chocolate and also flavors of the month. It's a very old place well maintained like stepping back in time. I loved it.

Also, upstairs, they have a sandwich place for lunch that was very cool

Great selection of ice cream. They taste nothing extraordinary but good to fulfil your sweet tooth craving. I didn’t try any of their homemade chocolate variates like truffles, fudge or pretzel, but they look good.

Probably my go to restaurant for breakfast in Marquette. Pretty good food service is decent but definitely do not get the chai latte. They use a syrup instead of chai mix and it just taste like coffee and dish soap.
