Gas prices are high, $4.49. Liked their Don T rubber ducks, cool souvenirs here, but unfortunately the woman cashier with blondish hair was very rude, I heard her interactions with customers and it was not welcoming to say the least. I was excited when I saw all the merchandise of our awesome President but I didn’t want the cashier to be rude to me so I just left. I hope you guys improve your customer service instead of making excuses for someone who has consistent reviews complaining of the same behavior. And it’s not politically based I agree with everything in the store and so do many others but it doesn’t matter the cashier was still rude.

Response to owner: I left this review based on an interaction in August and I am not sure why it says it was left 2 weeks ago. Whatever situation you’re describing did not involve me.

The middle aged woman cashier has a very harsh and rude demeanor that I saw her display to both locals and guests. It was so off putting, we immediately left. Go down the street for much better prices and staff. Don’t bother giving this place any business unless you want to be met with a bad attitude and high prices for dollar store souvenirs, and gas for $4.19, which is over a dollar more than a gas station right down the street.

I get the feeling that the owner thinks the reason for so many poor reviews is that people don’t agree with some of the merchandise sold here. I actually liked a lot of the merchandise and was going to buy something until I was met with such a nasty attitude. I’ll never buy from someone who acts like they’re better than me, sorry. Certainly not in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Take your bad attitude and $4.19 gas and go away. I’m not sure why the “lady” here was so miserable but it really shouldn’t be taken out on random customers. Deal with your emotions like an adult.

Also: The owner’s response to repeated reviews about her bad attitude is “she works seven days a week” but that’s a lazy person’s excuse. Get a different job if you aren’t capable of serving the public or close on Sundays to give yourself a break.

I love this place! The people there were awesome. We had a blast joking around w them...blows my mind by how many people now a days get so butt hurt over everything. I'll be back in a week from Ohio to buy more from their store. Can't wait

I had an absolutely awesome experience here. Deanna was very helpful and answered all of my questions about local restaurants to helping me navigate the trails. I couldn't have been more pleased !! I see a lot of negative reviews and I'm just guessing that most of these people received the same energy that they were putting out. Be kind and that's what you'll get in return. Thanks for all of the help and I can't wait to come back !!

I saw the most recent review claiming that “we must be receiving the energy being given” to the extremely rude lady and that is not the case. I came in and was nothing but polite with a smile on my face immediately saying hello and asking following with a question and I was met with a disgusted look, and was stared and and ignored and then she proceeded to walk away. So I walked out. Absolutely so rude I’ll gladly take my money elsewhere

After our last visit to Paradise, I’ll never enter this store again. The woman (the owner ?) who works there is consistently rude every time I spend my money there. If I’m such an inconvenience, I’ll take my business to the store near the Lower Falls. The lady there actually greets her customers and thanks them for their business.

The gas prices were too high, at least .40 higher than area stations. The owner yelled at my husband when he asked about all the Trump merchandise in the store, regardless of your political views you should never be rude to a customer and the lady at the counter was very rude. She told my husband that Trump was going to save the world!! 🤮 Do not stop here if you like good customer service, it’s terrible!

We stop at this gas station every time we are in the area. This might have been our last. There are 2 ladies that work behind the register. One is the nicest sweetest person and the other couldn't be any further from that. By far the most rude person I have encountered. My 2 sons used the restroom while we were shopping for a cooler. When I asked her if there were any others than the ones out front she glared at me, said no and then proceeded to tell me the restrooms were for paying customers. She said this while we were actively shopping!! We left and purchased our sodas and ice down the street. Look at the other reviews. This is a recurring theme. Yep maybe she works a lot. Guess what we all do. No excuse. People need to be decedent people. Period.
