Whether you are on the hunt for a quick homemade snack or to restock your pantry and fridge, you should definitely think about stopping into ATKO market and bakery! Since they have opened my elderly mom has been telling me wonderful things about this place and bringing home fantastic baked goods for us to enjoy 👍

This week I finally stopped in to check it out for myself and I have to admit the place was immaculately clean, all of the produce looked amazing and everyone who I spoke with that work there was super friendly and helpful!! They had a HUGE variety of international and homemade goods plus a few tables if you are looking for something quick. Thanks for taking good care of my elderly mom and helping to put a smile on her face 👌🙏❤️

Stopped in yesterday for the first time, saw the word bakery and immediately beelined. OMG the baked goods were delicious!! I purchased cannolis, turkey and cheese crossaint, and a few different cakes and pastries that I can't remember the names of. The lady behind the counter was very nice and patient as I asked about the different cakes. She even gave me a discount. Great service and will be back again!

Great food and imports from the Balkans. I buy cheese, coffee, and some meats from here. A lot of great food and now they have a grill menu. The Burek is just like my baba used to make. Great place to come if you’re missing Europe. The baked goods are amazing as well. Not to mention tons of traditional deserts, baklava etc. friendly staff as well.

After watching a TikTok video. I drove almost 40 minutes each way today to try the meat, pizza, and feta with spinach burek. Unfortunately, they said they were out of the pizza, so I got an apple burek instead. The meat was our top favorite, followed by the feta and spinach. The apple was good too, but not a get again for me personally. Everyone there was nice. The store was clean they had a ton of items I've never seen before. I'll have to stop by again soon!

Extremely Dirty
Overpriced
The produce specially meat looks old. I spent $60 and I ended up throwing everything away, I will never shop here again.
If you want good quality European products go to Mike's in Dearborn heights.

I just opened the cheese pie now and it looks like someone inside the store was hungry, because l am missing a part.
This never happened before. Better to get frozen. Smells rotten, my family didn't wanna touch it and this is our traditional food. What is going on? I did get Ham and was old or expired and Polish sausages, that considered meat.

They were so helpful and friendly in helping us decide what baklava to choose, and they also gave us their signature cheese bread (which was absolutely incredible!).

Great & friendly staff. Lots of international products- jars of olives in varieties that I've never seen. Pickled cabbage, beets, okra, mixed salad, and more. They have a large section of beverages- juices not typically found easily in USA, coffee and teas. The bakery is small, but has lots of variety. Our family tried several different items. The chocolate bomb is amazing- chocolate cake on the bottom, them a chocolate mousse and covered in hard chocolate shell. Yummy!
Multiple kinds of baklava- walnut, honey, pistachio and Grandma's. Banana cake was tasty too. The ladies in the bakery were really helpful as we picked a variety of sweets to try. Vegan options too! They are adding new things too- mini macarons. They are so colorful.
It's definitely worth a trip to try out something new.

The grocery section is lovely. I live round the corner and so when they first opened I really wanted to support them, because it's difficult to find a bakery with solid fresh baked goods. My initial review was a 5 but the last couple of times have left me irritated. The ladies at the bakery section (this has occurred multiple times from the beginning) are always in full conversation mode and have had me waiting on them until they’ve finished a full on general chat with each other. Initially the baked goods (cakes etc.) were soft, made with real whipped heavy cream and fresh, so despite the rude service I would still go back to purchase cakes. However, this last visit, I had purchased an eclair and a raffaello cake, both of which were dry, hard and stale. The cream/custard on these were congealed and I had to throw these away after the initial bite.
