Wish I could give zero stars. The owners are very selective of their employees, and very rude and abrasive towards them. My fiancé was only able to work two days for them due to their inappropriate behavior and demeanor. They state "no marijuana, vaping, smoking, or drinking of alcohol of ANY kind" in their employee handbook, and yet every employee smoked both outside, as well as inside of their greenhouse. Gordon, an owner, decided to enter my fiance's car while he was in it and on break, and proceed to practically yell at him. It is both inappropriate and illegal to open someone's car door or attempt to enter their property. These people should not be running a business.

Disappointing. Although the nursery has a huge selection of plants, shrubs and trees, you purchase at your own risk. Unlike other well respected Nurserys in MI, Barker Creek only provides a 60 day warranty on their trees. You are not provided any warranty paperwork and it is not posted on their website. Others, like Harder Warner in Grand Rapids, Begicks in Bay City, Warmbiers in Auburn, provide a minimum 1 year warranty on trees. Unfortunately, we purchased a Maple tree from Barker Creek ($395+) in Oct 2024 and purchased planting supplies (we were in the area), the tree survived the winter but in June began to die. We watered and fertilized but no luck. Gordon, an owner, informed me that there is no warranty, but would be willing to meet with me to find a different tree. He may offer something to offset, but won't commit. Well, my drive time is 1.5 hrs and a 'no warranty' tree is not worth spending an additional $400. Sorry, you have lost my business. I will travel to a reputable nursery.

One of the most prettiest nurseries I've ever seen in Michigan. I have never seen such a variety. This place is incredible. The view of the nursery with the lake behind it is beautiful. The staff was exceptionally welcoming, and very helpful.

Beautiful big nursery with quality plants. Have bought tons of grasses and sedge for my hillside. Recently got a really pretty Japanese maple as well. People there are very knowledgeable and very friendly. Highly recommend.

Best nursery in the area! Huge selection and the customer service cannot be beat. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We bought hydrangeas and apple trees and were so impressed with the quality. Will not buy plants anywhere else!

Terry and his crew have artfully created and maintained my landscape for a few years now. They are plant lovers first and foremost, so they take the utmost care when they are here. The plant selection they offer is top-notch as well.

A beautiful and incredibly well maintained nursery that is an art exhibit on its own! The staff are so knowledgeable and the flowers they cultivate are gorgeous! They also have an adorable pond feature that is just amazing to see! If you have plant needs these are absolutely the people to ask for help!
