I don’t think I’ve ever left a review on google before, but I just had to for this business. We often come up north from the Kalamazoo area and go to a few wineries while we’re up here. While we were in Boyne for the weekend, we decided to try a couple of new ones - Maple Moon being one of them. Though the others were okay, Maple Moon blew them out of the water. We stopped on Friday to check it out (a group of 4) and Karen helped us with sampling their wines, salsas and syrups. Their wine is phenomenal, ranging from semi-dry to sweet (if you like sweeter wines, this is perfect!). They also have amazing salsas, the mango salsa being my favorite. We finished our visit with a syrup tasting, which was some of the best syrup I’ve had (specifically the cinnamon). Aside from the great products, Karen made the experience even better! She was super helpful and was well versed in their business, from operation to products. She connected with us on a level that isn’t expected from employees. It felt like we had known her our whole lives! We had such a great time that, when another group of friends joined us the next day, we brought them to show them how great it was. We all had a great time, and even when it was much busier than when we first visited, Karen handled the rush very well and was still able to give everyone the same treatment that we had the first time being there. I know this is long, but trust me when I say that this should be one of your stops when visiting up north, or even if you live here and have never been! The food, wine, and customer service at this establishment will not disappoint. We will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I love Maple Moon so it was fun to bring some of our friends with us this year! We came up on an earlier weekend than usual and it was packed! Karen and Sherry work so well together accommodating such a large crowd. Maple Moon’s offerings are always great but the Early Spring Reserve and Maple Cherry were amazing this year.

So happy we found this place, it's not like any other winery you've been to. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, we felt like we could have sat there all day talking. The wine is so delicious! They also have a couple small plates and they have maple syrups you can try! We will definitely be back here and will recommend it to anyone.

This was our first time visiting Maple Moon. Karen gave us exceptional service! She took the time to explain all the details of the wines and syrups. We loved it so much, that we were back the next day. Even with a full house, Karen was very attentive to everyone in the building. We will definitely be back!

A unique winery no doubt. If you're a wino looking for something a little different, this place is a Must! The maple syrup comes right from the trees in back of the property. While the views from property lack a bit, it's a well run establishment with nice menu selection.

Cornelius says, "Try the cider while ya here. The Maple Blueberry wine is most unique, mittens down. Oh! And don't forget the complimentary syrup tasting!"

The wines, meads, and ciders are all very good.

The salsa flight is genius.

The service is good, they were a bit short staffed when we were there.

This was our first time to the Petoskey area wineries. This is a ABSOLUTE must stop! We did the private tour with Christie and it was the best experience we have had on a wine trip (and we done a girls wine trip for 26 years). The price is $50/person and worth every penny. Not only will you learn lots about maple syrup, you get to taste all the wines. And they are absolutely amazing!!
Cannot wait to come back.

My husband and I enjoyed every single tasting sample we tried. We bought the Cherry wine and a couple of maple syrups. Very friendly staff and nice store.
It's definitely a unique experience.
