Very busy but absolutely worth it!

My party of 4 waited in line for a bit then struggled to find a table. Thankfully, a nice couple saw us looking and had just finished their meal so they hopped up. Surprisingly, we didn't wait long for our food to arrive.

The salmon chowder is 10/10. So creamy and delicious! I could have gotten full off of several rounds of that. 🙂 I also had some crab legs. I'm new to eating crab so can't say much but I enjoyed them.

My husband order the halibut fish and chips. Their coleslaw is plain veggies so it was disappointing and left untouched but the fish was perfectly fried! We were very pleased with the quality. It wasn't greasy and had such a great flavor.

We all left full and happy.

Prepare to spend a lot of money as it isn't cheap and be patient. They are a busy spot!

Stopped by this place on our cruise and everything was very tasty!

We ordered the chowder and 1/2 pound of crab. Everything was delicious. We noticed an extremely long line during lunch, so we waited until it quieted down. Ordered and had a table within minutes. You do have to order at the counter and then find a seat, they also have a separate bar.

Chowder was very tasty, lots of herbs. Also came with a little packet of crackers. My partner worked through cracking his crab but said it was delicious.

We are elsewhere in town, and the prices here were much more reasonable! Servings are on the smaller side but that just means you won't walk out overfull ?

Also, if you are cruising, the soft drink prices here were excellent!

Our tour guide recommended this place—it was good!! You order your food first and pay, then proceed to the dining area inside to find a table. There’s a bar inside as well. It’s a fairly small place.

The Fish and Chips were delicious! We tried the AK Sampler which gives you one piece of each fish: Cod, Salmon and Halibut—we all thought the Halibut was the best! The French Fries were okay, and the Smoked Salmon Chowder was really good. Also got the Dungeness Crab which was delicious. They offer pitchers of beer so we also got their IPA draft beer.

I was determined to have some Salmon? and Chips and some Dungeness Crab ?. Alaska Fish House had been high on my bucket list and as soon as our tour was over, we beelined for the restaurant on the waterfront.

We ordered the 3 piece Silver Salmon and Chips and the 1/2 lb Dungeness Crab and sat down to enjoy. Joan took two of the three pieces and the majority of the chips and I had the bulk of the crab and one of the pieces of salmon.

The salmon was piping hot; fresh out of the fryer. The fish was cooked to perfection and hella fresh. The platter came with mesquite seasoned fries, tartar sauce and a vinegar based coleslaw.

The Dungeness Crab Legs, served with warm drawn butter, were outstanding. The slices of lemon were a nice option for a different flavour profile.

My wife and I had the cod fish & chip and a blackened salmon rice bowl. Two pints of Agave Gold draft beer. All was delicious. The beer was light and flavorful.
Fish & were crispy and moist. Fries were on point. Crispy and yum.
Blacked Salmon had a good flavor.
I highly recommend

If you’re looking for some great food and place to hang out after departing the cruise ship this is a great stop. The three piece halibut plate, halibut and salmon tacos and salmon chowder are all delicious. When we were here for dinner they had a band playing. Band was great and entertaining. The prices are reasonable for the area and the fact it’s a tourist hot spot. You can sit outside and enjoy the cool air and people watch.

We waited an hour in line as this establishment came highly recommended by locals. Maybe it's what we ordered, but the food itself seemed average. It was fresh and had good flavor, but I'm not sure what all the hype was about. Crab was small and mine had barnacles on it. It was my first time trying crab legs, but that was a turn-off for me and I probably wouldn't get them again. I did like the Halibut bowl and would definitely order that again. Overall I have 4 stars for a unique dining experience.

The honest truth …Be prepared for long lines at peak times and possibly not having a seat. If there is one complaint, it’s not enough seating area to accommodate the long lines. When it rains / drizzles everyone wants to eat inside. There has to be a better ordering to seating process. We almost received our chowder with not having a table. Now who wants to eat a chowder standing up or cold? And if we received the Dungeness crab without a table I would have requested it sent back to the kitchen!

We did arrive with the cruise ship so lots of people in town. And when the show next door ends, lots of people want to try Alaska Fish House.

Food: delicious. Dungeness crab was fresh and succulent. Pairs perfectly with the butter. We also ordered the trio fish a chips. Cod was the favorite, then salmon and halibut last (a little drier than others I have had) also tried the smoked salmon chowder which was good.

Again food was great, service was friendly but seating is a problem!
