After a weekend family reunion in northern Wisconsin, I decided to drive through the UP toward Lake Superior. I Googled “pasties” in Google maps and this place came up along my route. The reviews looked good so I planned to make it a stop. I ordered a hot traditional pasty and ate it in my camper in the parking lot. A nice flaky crust with a delicious meat and potato filling. I love pasties but they are hard to find outside certain regional locations. Not only was the pasty delicious, but the 2 staff members were very friendly. I wish Rigoni’s was 200 miles closer to my home.

I have been ordering and enjoying Rigoni's pasties (regular and Cornish!) for years and they never disappoint, but this year we ordered the calzones to give them a try. I knew the calzones would be good, but I did not expect then to be so out of this world! We ordered the pepperoni, mushroom and sausage calzones and had them shipped to Michigan. The flavor, texture, size, and everything were perfect. The ingredients were super yummy and in the right proportions. Everything balanced. I also think the Rigoni secret weapon is the crust they use and make from scratch. They tasted how you want your calzone to taste, but rarely do. We really couldn't stop talking about them and about when we could order more. They are perfect for a quick and hearty meal because there is no prep....just take out of the freezer and bake per their directions. We often bake during the week when we're too busy to make something and want a satisfying meal without the hassle.

If you like pasties and/or calzones, then don't hesitate to order online if you don't live nearby. I live in Michigan and found the product to be shipped very well on lots of icepacks and in an insulated enclosure to ensure they arrived safely and promptly. We cook the pasties and calzones from frozen. Follow the directions they send for cooking (thawed or frozen) and they will turn out perfectly!

I walked in at 10 am on a Saturday morning, and asked for 2 Dozen assorted donuts. I was Greeted with a Friendly smile and was told It would Be a Minute. And sure enough I had Two beautiful boxes of Donuts to take to their Destination in No time flat.
My Only Regret was that None of the Donuts were for Me. I will be back though to get some for My family and I, they looked delicious 🤤

Rigoni's Bakery is home to a perfect UP pasty and so many chewy, tender, sweet cookies! Breads look incredible and the specialty pastry items like the bear claw are Yupper style.
The pasty is filling and hot. Potatoes, beef and onion are wrapped in a warm, browned blanket of baked flour-love. are almost always hot and ready. You can order frozen ones with other ingredients, including the beloved rutabaga! The decor is a simple small town bakery with staff that smiled for miles! Stop in a get something they make sweet or Pasty! Great selection of regular sodas and specialty flavors! Thanks for the smiles and great lunch!

First time here! Pasty was fresh and the crust was flakey. The service was great too! There isn’t a bathroom though. I recommend getting a creme filled doughnut.

we knew this would be the right place to get pasties when we saw a city employee truck in front. didnt disappoint! great pasties! we will be back! pasties are available fresh or frozen. you can eat in here as well. can be a busy place, but the service was friendly and fast
