The host at the campground recommended a stop by Cold Iron Brewing and we are so glad they did! The atmosphere is mostly what you expect of a brewery. There is no food served (you can bring your own in) so it is pet friendly. It is also a family friendly establishment. There is a nice patio for outdoor seating. We chose indoor seating and had fun playing one of the many games they have with our teenage daughter. The Amber Ale - Ayer Street Ale, I highly recommend. It was so good and reminiscent of another red beer we had years ago that we still talk about today. I am sure we will be talking about Cold Iron Brewing for years to come.

head to downtown Ironwood to stop at Cold Iron Brewing. This massive dog-friendly taproom has lots of great beers, indoor yard games, cool merch, and the nicest staff. I loved their cranberry shandy and Hayden was impressed by the Drift North IPA.

I loved Cold Iron!

I tried 8 of their beers, and most were excellent! I'm not much of a dark/ stout guy, and there were two of those. 4 stars on most of the others! Paul, the bartender was friendly, knew a lot about the beers, had some recommendations, and we spent some time after discussing our favorites.

Great beers and a nice space, we were glad to be around town during pride and got to enjoy some covers and the nice breeze through the big windows they can open up. Although we didn't use it, the indoor bike rack was neat and there were tables big enough to bring in take out or play a game, which were supplied by the brewery. Definitely coming back as a tourist when we pass through again.

Beer was undrinkable. Staff was more interested in talking to the locals. Got a flight. The NA beer tasted like wet socks. The mango/peach tasted like rotten peach. The amber was a poor rip off of oddsides ale bean flicker. The IPAs relied on alcohol content instead of taste.

We drove over an hour away from our Airbnb to visit this brewery and it was well worth it! Atmosphere was very open and dog friendly. Drinks were wonderfully priced for the amazing quality! Highly recommended the Honey wheat and Drift South Jalapeño ale!
