What a beautiful location with an outside wine tasting area where you are surrounded by the vineyard. Melissa explained to us how they are an estate vineyard and all of their varieties are grown there. All the wines are made there as well. My husband and I tasted six or seven of the different wines before choosing to purchase quite a few bottles to take on our travels with us. Highly recommend this sweet vineyard. I LOVE this place, everything from the wine, the view, the staff, and owners. I wasn't much of a wine drinker but I fell in love with just about their whole line up of wines. My favorite of the whites is Ragazza Di Sole. My favorite from the reds is Pater Familias. The Rubarb is also a must try. All the grapes are grow and processed right on the vineyard.

Nice hidden gem. Wines made from hybrids and very nice. Kudos to the vitner!
Pretty setting. Definitely will stop by when next in the area.
Come taste for yourself and enjoy sipping a glass outside under the Nothern Sun.

Melissa was very accommodating and we enjoyed camping overnight at this lovely vineyard through Harvest Hosts. The vineyard is gorgeous and the tasting room is so charming. The wine is tasty and definitely recommend this little jewel tucked away down a quaint country road!

Northern Sun is a beautiful estate with some nicely made wines using native varietals. It's west of Escanaba, and out in the countryside. The first time we went, we parked our car and were greeted by this big white dog. He started barking at us, and lead us right to the front door of the tasting room. Talk about service! They have a beautiful vine gazebo to sit and overlook the vineyard in, or sit inside the building and taste away. If you're in Escanaba, take a short trip outside town and check them out.

I rarely post reviews but I must for this one! I had the best experience at this winery, perhaps the best in all of Michigan so far. The wine is amazingly flavorful, the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, and they have the friendliest dog outside! Highly recommend for any wine lover. Even bought 3 bottles all for myself to enjoy later!

We are were traveling to Michigan and decided to stop at a vineyard along the way. We weren't sure if this winery had any food (website and other reviews didn't say). We called, but the line was busy. We decided to venture to the winery anyway (20 minutes out of the way). The owner called us back as we were driving apologizing for missing the call. She let us know that they had cheeses, chocolate, crackers, salami.

We were greeted by the owner on arrival to the beautiful winery. She was very helpful with deciding on samples. She served us outside under the trellis. I wasn't sure I was going to like the wines - they only had 2 dry reds available at the moment due to harvesting. We opted for the rosé (her recommendation) for the 3rd sample. We loved the wines so much we bought all the wines we sampled (including the rosé). We had such a lovely experience - even took a walk through the vineyard.

Highly recommend stopping here if you are anywhere in the vacinity

Beautiful little winery in the middle of the Upper Peninsula. Great white wines, amazing views on a sequestered farm. Definitely worth checking out while on a wine tour, bachelorette party or a relaxing weekend event. They had live music over memorial day weekend.
