We came here on one of our visits up north to try it out and it was fantastic! Service was great, food was great, ambiance was great! The manager came over and told us there was free tasting on Friday, so I sampled the amaretto and the banana rum, both very good! We have 4 kids and two were unsure of the mac and cheese since it’s not Kraft. Our server brought out a little tasting and I’m so glad she did because the two on the fence didn’t like it and ended up getting chicken tenders. They liked them, my other got the Mac and cheese and ate every bite. The oldest split the rib dinner with my husband and they loved it. My husband said the ribs were cooked perfect and had a great flavor, I tried a bite and found them kind of spicy. I got the brisket dinner with burnt ends baked beans and french onion soup. Mine was so good! The meat was smoked well and tender. The baked beans were so good! It took about an hour to get our food, which I didn’t love, but the food made up for the waiting. They have little games you can bring to your table while you wait. I wasn’t expecting to spend over $100 on dinner tonight, but it was good. Just know the prices are fairly high. The kids meals are $8.99 and include drink and fries, my brisket was $24.99 (standard for that meal). Ribs were fairly priced as well. We will be back!

I tried a tasting flight of their liqueurs on my way through the area and was very happy with it. The interior of the place is warm and has that northern Michigan feel, and the staff was friendly. The drink menu is surprisingly long, and it sounds like ownership may have changed relatively recently. The samples I tried were all good, but the butter rum stood out to me as my favorite. The apple and peach cobbler drinks were good as well. I’ll definitely drop by again someday on my way through the area.

Great food & drinks. They have amazing homemade liquors with several options for tastings. The owner is so friendly and right in the middle of the fun. The atmosphere is great. Very laid back. Super clean restaurant/bar and restrooms. We will be back many times, I'm sure 🙂

My family and friends came to houghton lake to enjoy a few days at a local water park. We choose copper kettle for our most formal meal of the trip. I rarely leave reviews but I was impressed with the quality of the meals. By far the best ribs I’ve ever had, the Mac and cheese was top shelf, and the fries aren’t fries they are potato’s cut by hand that melt in your mouth. I myself am a business owner and truly hope your upstart business will succeed!!! Your product is a winner!

Valentine's smoked New York Strip steak was amazing. Can't wait to try the brisket!
Very cool atmosphere, very clean, exceptional service (thank you Kenzie). We drive by there about once a week and never noticed the place before. The new management has done a great job. We'll definitely be back!

Service and food were excellent! Had the frickles for an app, very delicious. Entree was the brisket stuffed pasta! WOW!! Wife tried the Mac cheese, baked beans, and 1/2 tater with pulled chicken. All was excellent. Quickly became a must stop for our Lake adventures

If I could rate this a 0 I would! Extremely disappointed. I will NEVER go back.
** Response to Owner ** There are so many facts wrong with your response to my review it's concerning. First, one of the reviews listed (Bur Miller) is NOT even part of my family or night out. So, this tells me your short comings are habitual. Second, my experience was on a Thursday prior to Tip up Town weekend. It's important to note we had a reservation from days prior and we didn't just pop in. I mean who doesn't have food ready to be served at 6pm knowing you have a party coming in? Next, you provided 2 bills at the same time. One was the original total and the second was the "corrected" bill. If this was a negotiation a conversation should have been had PRIOR to presenting these to our daughter for payment. To address the issue of our "missed order" is delusional. There we nine people. We were essentially served our food 2 or 3 at a time and hours apart. The last one was once we decided to end the madness. Over 2 hours later! And for the record my review was extremely brief. I did not say a word about anyone in my review. (Scroll up and re-read) I was brief for a reason. But considering your response i felt a detailed response was now necessary to set the record straight. I do not own a business in town. (Yes there we some at the table who do) You are grouping 9 people at the table all in as one. Just how you are grouping multiple negative reviews together as one. We are all separate people sharing our own experiences. I have been to this restaurant more than once. I'm thankful I have the freedom to share my experience just as the other people have done before / after me. Good luck in your business venture. I stand by my original much shorter review.
