Forest Park's sweetest attraction is the Ferrara Pan Candy Company. The area exudes a sweet aroma from the candy being crafted inside the factory.
The "pan" in the Ferrara Pan name comes from the method in which the candies are made. An open, rotating pan is used to get that hard-candy finish on all your favorites like Original Boston Baked Beans, Sour Cherries, and NERDS.
Check out the cool cow head sculpture right below the sign. The cow holds significance for the building as Ferrara relocated to the current premises in the early 1960s. It was previously occupied by Borden Dairy. Elsie the Cow, a mascot created by Borden in 1936, is prominently featured throughout the building's design.

Candy is so fresh it melts in your mouth like butter. Not a fancy shop by any means but a lot of choices.

I was in town and made this one of my top spots to stop at. I was not impressed one bit. I expected the store to have lower prices than the typical retail stores and I was hoping for a decent amount available. One small wall and a few items on a counter. The price on the movie theater boxes were $1.50. I can buy the same at dollar tree for $1.25

This is a modest store that is affixed to a candy factory. The candy in the shop is amazing, with a wide variety and really low costs. My spouse used to bicycle here when he was a young lad. Now, whenever we go see his parents, he takes our kids there. He is still remembered by the same lady who works there. She agreed not to reveal how frequently my husband used to ride there and buy candy to our children. This location is a little-known gem!

Unhealthy candy dyes ( red , yellow and blue), horrible customer service, via email and phone. I had an issue with some candy I bought from this company, so I emailed to complain and see what they could do. Orginally, they wanted me to send in all this unecessary documentation in order to get my "refund" which obviously most people won't waste their time doing. When I proceeded, they eventually removed my email from being able to contact them, even though they had asked for my mailing address. Asked me for that just to remove my email from being able to respond? Why? Because you're actually going to have to send a refund? What a joke of a company. Avoid this garbage candy from these garbage people. Also, these dyes are not healthy for kids or adults. Research the product, most dyes are not allowed to be sold with food. They only want your money and don't care about your health!

This is a candy factory with a small store attached. The candy in the store is phenomenal with a great selection and really cheap prices. My husband used to ride his bike here as a boy. Now, he takes our kids there when we visit his parents. The same lady still works there and remembers him! She promised not to tell our kids how often my husband used to ride there and buy candy, lol. This place is a hidden little gem!

It's a nice little store but very limited candy choices. Possibly due to the weather and covid. I expected something a little different I guess. Yet all in all it was nice little candy store, good prices. The lady who waited on us for very nice. We will be back 😊😋

This place is way over priced! The food was horrible. There were eight of us and maybe one meal was ok. One example is the hamburger meat tasted and look fake. If you just want candy and very sweet desserts then maybe it's for you.
