Bottom of the barrel banking services. People have listed their issues with this institution so I wont cover the same issues again but some of the fun things this bank service includes is
*still accepting money withdrawals even when you have frozen the account or card to then charge multiple overdraft fees.
*2 week wait times with account inquires such as questions about the account itself or unknown charges.
*System maintenance preventing account changes causing accounts to be inaccessible complete over multiple days.

This bank sucks. I cannot believe how little they actually do in any regard other than take money.

They have a bad rating for a reason and I should have taken that more seriously and you should as well if you’re thinking about opening an account here. I just did last week and it started off ok. I deposited a check for $155 and it’s on hold for two weeks. It’s a new account so i expected a hold but two weeks? It doesn’t even take that long for a check to clear. That was strike one, this next issue really isn’t their fault but I went to a credit union close to my house to deposit cash. Most ATMs you can just stick cash and checks in the slot and it reads it for you. This atm wasn’t like that and I did it wrong. It showed a check deposit in my account. I contacted them to let them know it was an error and to cancel the transaction. They insisted I have to come into a branch for an error on the account. I live far from there and I was just In there picking up a debit card. So strike two for how they are handling that. The final strike I tried to add my debit card to cash app to instant deposit the money I had in there. It says invalid card now. It’s the first week and it’s issue after issue. I already opened a new account at another credit union because I foresee it not working out. They have good reviews to it seems related to auto loans so maybe not every area is so bad. But banking so far sucks, not impressed at all. And the transactions I reported as an error still are pending in my account.

**update
You can’t get them to email or call back ever but they responded to a negative review in less then a couple hours, tried to act like they care about their members but then called me Justin when my name isn’t Justin. Company said they would reach out to resolve issue, I personally have no desire to continue with this CU but to anyone reading this, they do apparently pay attention to the reviews and will respond

In a time where my life is changing and unforeseen circumstances are wearing heavily upon me, Jeremy couch showed such patience and concern. He made me feel listened to and understood, without being judged. If this company is any reflection of Jeremy, then it is certainly amazing. I highly recommend them..

Just from one Shared Branch member to another- wrong info was given; they do not do any shared branching and neither does the bank they refer people to either which I believe is Ent Credit union. The only shared branch either of these institutions do is through ATMs. Save yourself a trip and go to an actual center that does it.

So I’m leaving another review because they are incompetent especially Erika. They can’t answer an email or message, I spent 57 minutes on hold, like people have all the time in the world to play these games! However they did seem able to respond to a review very quickly earlier. So hopefully publicly I can get some assistance. My card doesn’t work, I can’t pay anything. Seriously DO NOT open an account with this credit union. You have no idea what your getting into

I don’t understand how my credit union gets such a low rating on here. First off the customer service is always outstanding. Very friendly tellers and very quick when they work. When I’ve had issues in the past and had to call customer service AT ANY TIME MIND YOU. They’ve been quick to answer and very helpful. My parents have always banked with red rocks and i bank with red rocks for a reason. They also know I’m a veteran and take very good care of me anytime i come into the branch. Thank you for being so reliable.

We have worked with Red Rocks Credit Union on a number of occasions for vehicle financing and have been very happy. Our most recent experience was to set up a purchase from a lease expiration for our daughter. Briana Lawson was phenomenal to work with. She was very clear in what was needed, was very communicative and expedited this process very quickly and efficiently. Very appreciative and would strongly recommend working with Red Rocks CU Highlands Ranch and Briana Lawson.

Have to say, they used to be great, but as other banks have evolved around them, for regular banking, they are being left in the dust.

They are 10 years behind. No tap cards, took 5 years longer than others to get chip cards, no way to turn off a card or pause ACH transactions to an account if there is an account issue like identity theft or a lost card or a check processing issue, no way to change your pin outside of a branch, takes twice as long to process most checks than other banks I've used. No easy way to dispute a charge without calling, let alone any basic spending tracking offered by any other banks, don't even have an easy way to check your FICO. Things that are basic services at other banks and easy to access online, they just don't have. Basic notifications - low balance alert, weird charge alert/charge approval, overdraft alert (let alone a period to correct it like most banks have - they charge you instantly) - they have none of these things. They have no text or email notifications at all, other than ads for services you aren't using. Which are not the emails I want to get.

As more and more banks move away from excessive fees, they are doubling down on fees - fees for the honor using your credit cards or overdraft protection, fees on every overdraft even if it's a 0.01 cent 'ghost' charge that is refunded, fees that they will not reverse no matter your situation (my son was laid off and had a few bills go through, even with the bills reversed while he transitioned jobs, wouldn't budge on the fees - predatory really, their fees were more than the bills). They no longer offer free checking unless you keep a balance in your account, and for low income folks that's just charging extra money that they already don't have when you live check to check, while they leach interest off those who do keep a balance.

If you go out of town, the form to alert them is an old PDF and even if you submit it, it's likely they'll turn your card off the first chance you use it and you have to call them. Turned our card off on the Friday night of a four day weekend holiday while we were in Mexico, had to have a friend wire us because of course, we were in another country - told us that although we did all the right things, paperwork got lost. That could have turned dangerous without a support system and us also being with friends who could help us out.

I see people like them for loans, and they do have great loan and credit card rates - but unless you want to constantly be in the branch, now that we've moved north of Denver, it's impossible, nothing is available online, everything has to be done in the branch, even our last card that expired they forgot?!?! to send it to us, said there must have been an error, they had the right address but it just showed in their system it just never processed a new card and we had drive an hour to go in and pick it up from the bank.

For being your primary bank, or your younger students first account while they figure out financial responsibilty or find a first job in this tight and volatile economy, this is not the bank for you - they are great as long as your problem is super small and their fault, but if your kid's spend one penny over their balance or have a charge go through while they are sorting things out (cause again, no way to pause the card or account) expect your kid to be slapped with fees and treated with disrespect when you try to help them straighten it out - it's not a moral failing to be .30c overdrawn, most people see that it's a simple mistake, but they make you feel like it is a moral choice you made and their duty to charge you. But to be nice, maybe they'll refund two fees once in a 12 month cycle, out of the grace of their heart - meanwhile there are banks that are going feeless because they know it's predatory. That's not how I or my kids want to be treated.

We will keep some of the accounts and cards open but are switching main banks to someone more reliable, more encouraging of my kids finding financial independence, and more in the 21st century
