We have used U.P. Propane for almost two years now. I'm not sure why there are negative reviews, we have never had an issue. Everyone we've interacted with has been friendly and they've delivered within a week of calling for a refill. Always had someone answer the phone and we pay the bill online. Simple and easy.

Due to continued extremely poor customer service, we decided to obtain a new propane provider and cancel UP Propane. After we informed UP Propane of our intentions, despite having an employee nearby, out of spite they refused to return to retrieve their valve. In order to avoid being charged for their valve, they forced me to drive to them to return it.I highly recommend getting your propane from anybody else.

*Update - they came and installed the tank and line and we couldn't be happier with their friendly service and professionalism. They came when they said they would and got everything all hooked in. Great service!

"Unlike other companies, we do not charge fees! That means no Hazmat fees, delivery fees, tank maintenance fees, fuel surcharges, or program fees. We also do not charge for installations or leak tests.

The price of propane is the price you pay!"

It's a little surprising to see the above statement on their website. I'm charged an annual maintenance fee because I use just under my tank's volume per year. Maybe they should add an asterisk. I'm generally very happy with the service I receive.

All personnel were very friendly. They explained different tank/price options well. Delivery was very fast. They built me an awesome 20' rubber hose at a good price im going to use for deer season. No hidden fees! John the manager came and picked up my tanks the day i called! Thank you! Great experience!

Was left without gas all of winter 21-22 because they wouldn't take a payment plan or ANY payment but full. (Illegal to deny someone's money in America)
Summer 22 slowly paying it off on a payment plan, still recieved a late fine after paying it off. Called to ask about it and was told to deal with it and that it's my fault for taking a year to pay it off but like y'all wouldn't... Take... My money?
Staff used incorrect terminology THEN admonished me for misunderstanding! (literally gaslighting me but okay)
"I'm sorry you misunderstood, most of our customers are smart enough to know the difference." (Excuse me? I even explained this was my first time with propane in general and recieved a snarky chuckle)
If your policy puts people's lives in danger and they are BEGGING you for help and you still say no because money? Aliant energy isn't even that greedy, U.P. Propane should be ashamed to serve the public with this attitude.
I am a very patient human, I spent a year giving y'all the benefit of the doubt and turning a deaf ear whenever I heard negatives about your company and customer service.
But dear lord was I wrong and am happy to say I finally closed my account and WILL NOT be giving amnesty to a company that leaves disabled folks in -40° winter storms again.

My RV regulator failed on the first day of my 2 week vacation. I am from Upstate New York and I was in Upper Peninsula when this happened. An RV place in Marquette directed me to UP propane. Michelle provided me with the directions to get to the place. Carol found the replacement part. And then Nick, the wizard, managed to install the regulator for me. I was floored when Carol said that my bill was 13 dollars and a few odd cents. I said what about the hour that Nick worked installing the regulator. She said there would be no charge for it. All I can say is that the honesty and hospitality of Yoopers will always be remembered by me. Thanks to all 3 of them for saving my 2 week RV trip.

Literally have problems with them every time we need propane. Whether it's applying my payments wrong, going to the WRONG LOCATION, or disregarding the amount we requested and just filling up the tank there is ALWAYS an issue. When I call, too bad so sad. Telling me you're sorry means nothing.
