I stopped here to look for vegetables. The prices are INSANE. The produce looks old and there were some half off items that shouldn't just been thrown away. Walked up to the deli counter and the lady there was busy. After standing there for a couple of minutes I decided to move along. The good in the display looked old and dried up. I saw some expensive yogurts that I was advised to try. The cashier was pretty rude and after several attempts to use my phone told me I'd have to redo my membership. I heard the same conversation about the memberships at the register next to me. Cashier there the receipt in the bag and turned around to continue her conversation with a co worker. Maybe the prices could be justified if customer service was at least decent, and it's not. The food looks gross. The 3 yogurts and one kimchi with a 50 cent coupon came to 36$! Lol 😂

I just had mouth surgery and could not talk. I came in at 6:35pm to get dinner, I'm in a hurry trying to get my work done, and I come up to the only available register. I saw that it had a closed sign, the lady was there, I pointed at the sign to say, she looked at me, turned around, and started chatting with other employees. No open lanes, three people chatting, totally ignoring me, and I can't talk. Left me goat milk keifer behind and left. I can't understand why they did that. I do t want to come back after that, which sucks, because I spend hundreds a week there since they're so close and healthy. But I will find somewhere else. Maybe more affordable. (their produce sucks and is ridiculously expensive)

The customer service is terrible. They are very rude and unprofessional. Customer service is number one. They don’t want to assist with questions and they were very unruly. My mother shops her a lot however, due to the fact of this inappropriate behavior she will no longer return. Management needs to be aware.

It’s become exhausting having to ‘be prove’ that you’re a member. If their employee(s) are asking for the customer’s phone number, why would the customer be required to show a coupon code? I’ve also noticed since downloading their app, that I no longer receive coupon codes. Additionally, I’ve also reported them to the MI AG’s office for price gouging; as many of their organic, not from concentrate juices are marked 30-40% higher than their competitors. I understand paying more for non-chemically enhanced foods, but a 40% mark-up seems a bit egregious.

This is a bigger store than their previous location on Mack, so they have way more items now, and more isle space. Layout is nice (they've replaced the old Barnes And Noble that used to be there). Nice little produce section (though a little pricey), great frozen foods section, nice salad bar, and a sandwich bar if you get hungry while shopping there. They even have a great little eating area, where they often convert to presentations and workshops also. They accept the EBT Bridgecard if you have one, and offer weekly coupons to knock down some of those pricey items. Only issues are the high prices (but that's what the coupons are for), and the customer service could be warmer. They are not mean, but no so warm and friendly either.

I ALWAYS have a phenomenal experience from Kira whenever I visit the Deli/Pastry/Grille/Soup/Hot Bar area and today was no exception! I attended a PACKED seminar and decided I would have lunch before the seminar started b/c the Hot Bar items that were being brought out by Darius and Kira were super fresh and smelled divine! It was a Taco Bar w/ground Vegan, Beef and low fat Turkey options and freshly prepared toppings. Also, the hot soup bar and salad bar were fully stocked looked inviting and Darius and Kira were so professional and friendly.

During the seminar, Darius prepared additional lunches for our large group while Kira kept the bars clean, hit and stocked. BY THEMSELVES. EVERYTHING went off without a hitch. Once the seminar was over, I had to go a purchase the Broccoli Cheese Soup and it was divine!

Thank You Darius and Kira for your professionalism during a super busy, stressful time with this seminar while attending your regular customers as well. I will continue to visit as long as you are there b/c YOU make my visits memorable. I also enjoy this Better Health location for it size and selection of items and most importantly for the Deli/Pastry/Grill. 💛

I bought snacking cheese from this store on Sunday June 27, I gave my kids some for a snack and we noticed how nasty it was. I looked at the expiration date and it expired in May 2021! Truly disappointed. Not to mention one of the store employees kept following my 15 year old daughter around the store as if she was stealing. She repeatedly singled out my daughter asking her if she needed help when my daughter already told her she did not. I’m never going to this location again.

11/16/18 UPDATE: they opened on 11-12-18 as the owner made extraordinary efforts to make that happen NOTE: most but not all items have arrived yet...the GRAND Opening is expected in Jan. 2019....11/09 Opening at new location; Mack & Moross expected on 11/14/18...many are waiting anxiously for this to occurr....7/14/18 desc. updated...Great organic produce plus many Healthy Supplements...only 4-stars 1) it's a little small, 2) parking is limited until 6 pm'ish 3) you find something you like...then it's sold out...and they don't re-order for weeks at a time...it's not perfect but I still recommend this store to anyone.
