Wonderful neighborhood Garden. Stop by sometime to volunteer... meet a friend or two and catch up over pulling weeds!
They have a great thing going and need a little more support.

They're happy to give you a tomato plant to take home, have many spices and veggies available.

This place is horrible. I advise people to not support this garden because my sister went on visit to volunteer on a school trip and one of the volunteer coordinator was extremely racist and referred to individuals as โ€œAfroโ€ and โ€œbraidsโ€. He gave them vague instructions and was very impatient with the teens even though itโ€™s their first time at an urban garden. He also rushed them despite them being a beginner and made them feel very uncomfortable. This was suppose to be a pleasant experience instead it was a horrible exhange that negatively impacted the students. I would not recommend volunteering here especially for people of color.

Hard working folks! I love that they give to the community every Saturday. They also incorporate DPS students in the cultivation and taking care of the land. That is such a practical and useful life skill. what a great organization!

This place is a jewel. The feeling is enchanting. So much beauty. It's like finding your pot of gold while you're not looking. The people are earthy and knowledgeable. You can tell they do this as a labor of love. God bless them for being a blessing to so many. It's like walking into a children's book! So much flavor!! Most importantly, I was so proud to see such a diverse group of young people from all types of cultures and social economic backgrounds rolling up their sleeves to provide healthy and organic food choices to families and the elderly in Detroit urban communities. You guys rock!!

This place is serving a good purpose overall, but the people who run it are racist. They intentionally let the collard greens get bug infested because they know thay black people are the majority of people who ask for them. I came and donated $10 and asked for 15 pounds of collard greens and they took my money and gave me 10 pounds of collard greens that were extremely damaged from bug bites (there were better ones that could have been picked). The guy who runs it also is very confrontational and enjoys drama.
