I thought that this was just a horticultural nursery—it’s so much more! We had a pleasant Sunday morning / early afternoon listening to live music, enjoying soups from a selection of 36 kinds, a super fresh custom salad (the mango vinaigrette was so tasty), complimentary coffee, gelato, and we stocked up on a variety of other treats including freshly ground peanut butter, sweetened orange slices, key lime yogurt dipped pretzels, macrons and a variety of coffee syrups answered sauces.

Oh, and we did leave with an adorable haworthia for the kitchen windowsill.

So many people crammed into a small suffocated place. On a Sunday, there is only 2 cashiers and the cashiers are so slow and inconsiderate. Why would you put wet food with dry food in a paper bag? Also, shouldn’t you double bag if the bag is ripping due to its weight? Unbelievable! The prices aren’t worth it either and the whole shopping experience is draining.

We used Horrock's in Kentwood for our wedding flowers. We gave them photos of our vision for the day and they created large arrangements and bouquets that perfectly captured what we wanted. In fact, the flowers were even better than we imagined - so vibrant and perfect! We also ordered bulk flowers to DIY for bud vases and they were easy to order.

Please consider adding several HANDICAPPED parking spaces on the side of the building. It is difficult for many elderly shoppers to walk up and down the ramps in the front of the store.

I love Horrocks, but yesterday (9/3) I purchased this feta cheese dip only to find a huge section of mold on it. The sell by date was 9/7. I called Horrocks to 1) inform them of the issue, as this could be a wider spread issue based on the sell by date, and 2) ask if there was any way to remedy the $10 I wasted on it. I said I have pictures, but was told “without a receipt we can’t do anything” and then was hung up on before I could say anything else. I understand employees have to abide by policy, and I guess I should keep receipts, but I expected a little more grace/apologies from customer service.

Horrocks has great produce today. They are getting in the herb plants. Lots of bargains today. The cheese selection was great. There were soy free muffins which was a nice surprise!

My daughter thought I was crazy to want to take my granddaughters to a “grocery store”. But I knew from the pictures they would really like it and I was not disappointed. So much to see, smell, and eat. Just the wonderful smell of the freshly made popcorn was heavenly. So many candy selections as well as the many flavors of macarons. Worth the trip alone. After walking through the market and garden center we each picked something for lunch and ate outside in the beer garden. Will definitely go again.

We were in town from New York for only 53 hours and we went here TWICE! This store has everything! The draft beer options in the beer garden are fantastic, the bottled/canned beer selection is incredible, the ready-made foods are excellent, and the customer service is top-notch. Highly recommend! What a fun place to go for lunch with a group. In fact, better than a restaurant! There is something for everyone and then you can casually sit in the greenhouse.
