Crafty local microbrewery and distillery offering a fresh twist on tried and true classic styles. From light and crisp lagers to dark and flavorful stouts and high gravity beer there is something enjoyable to every pallet. They also offer spirits and a full cocktail menu. Staff was friendly and helpful, worth always stopping by for a drink!

Went for the lobster truck & had a few cocktails, both where fantastic! Watching Doug craft my whiskey sour was an awesome experience! Best cocktail I've had anywhere! Thanks again Doug, we'll be back! I can truly tell you're doing what you love, kudos & cheers! 🍻

#47 in the recently renamed SE MI Brewery Discovery Tour.
Just missed the food truck (my friend's plane was late getting in to Bishop) so only a single brew before returning to Metro.
The ambiance is a bit dated, kind of a dive bar feel. This is not what I was expecting. Low ceilings, lower light level. Looks a bit dirty, maybe grungy is a better word? Half expected a dozen Harleys to rumble up. That kind of vibe. Not particularly inviting to me or my friend.
If a garage-like feel is desired (as the name implies) maybe some appropriate decorations: toolboxes, tools mounted on the walls, a jack made into a light fixture, tables made from truck tires, some more car parts visible, etc. (Just spit-balling)
The S'mores porter was really good, though.
I've been to over 200 craft breweries (not bragging, just for info) in several states, mostly Florida & Michigan, but honestly, rarely wanted out of one so much. Can't please everyone.

Been coming here for years and omg…this place is amazing if you drink beer or mixed drinks you will not be disappointed. Everything Doug makes is homemade his bourbon, vodka beer and all mixers are amazing !
This is a gem that you need to stop at and have a drink.
Doug even rocks with his popcorn! This is truly a scratch brewery that knows what it means to be homemade !

Was super stoked about the name due to the Redline Motor Oil style logo. The decorations are legit. It’s like a place to go after a day of drag racing and listening to old school country or Rockabilly.

Was a group of us and had some flights and pints and tired a few mixed drinks since we had a Designated driver. Looking for a pint that was right!

I checked the reviews and saw the owner/ management was responsive. And a few negative reviews.

It’s actually been about a month since our visit and I was hesitant to leave a review. But in the spirit of honesty and everything can’t be 5 stars. Here we go.

It was one of the few times I have not checked beers on the Untapped app. There was not anything that really stood out.

It might have been a bad day or some type of issues the bartender was aware of but was more worried about visiting with either a local or friend.

The flight was not cold and was a bit warm for craft beer. And the taste on all of them is as a bit off. Not flat, just off.

Would go back for a second chance. Just due to the vibe and decorations. And to see if there was some issue with the beer.

The bathroom and bar was super clean. And it’s a out of the way kinda place that I like.

So here we are with 3 stars and a future trip.

*we did have to ask for refills and to be cashed out. Due to him visiting with the friend.

Great place, great atmosphere and wonderful owner. Doug is obviously passionate about his brews and spirits. This is a true microbrewery that is run by the love of brewing we haven’t seen in Michigan in years. Very daring beers that are amazing, and products sourced from Michigan. I wish this place was near me…I would be there all the time. Do yourself a favor and make the trip. Support real craft beer!!

Great low-key, woman friendly, bike and average Joe friendly bar! Excellent craft beer, the owner Doug is the nicest, and the bartenders are great. High quality craft beers that taste great. This is one of the only places I can go to by myself, and not worry about some guy harassing me or getting mad and trying to start a fight if I'm not interested. The regulars here are really laid back and nice, everyone is friendly, super low-key vibe. With covid, things are limited but they normally have great live music and a cool trivia night. They have a nice patio area as well, and the ladies room is always CLEAN and in good order. The owner and bar tenders really take pride in this place, and it shows. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
