Phoned ahead of my visit to Raupp Brothers in Flat Rock and received helpful pricing, availability and delivery information for compost and 'garden mix' (soil/compost blend).

Visited site and looked/checked out the product, which looked very nice, so I ordered 5 cu yards of compost (I decided on the 'neat' compost that I would be blending with a disappointingly sandy batch of topsoil that I had recently received from a different supplier).

Pricing and delivery charges for my compost were reasonable, considering my location (approx 15 miles away), and Raupp were able to deliver that same afternoon. Most importantly, they agreed to have their driver check with me first as to the best exact place to dump the material (I chose to have it dumped on the thicker front end of my fairly new concrete driveway).

All the Raupp staff with whom I interacted (front desk, site workers, driver) were helpful, professional and efficient, and I was very happy with both the compost and the service I received.

From what I've gleaned from other reviews for this business, it seems that others have had issues relating to dumping of the material. On this occasion, I can't say whether it was down to luck or due diligence on my part, but the Raupp personnel that I spoke with were receptive and accommodating when I stated my concerns about where exactly to dump the material.

Raupp Brothers built us a patio in August 2022. The experience with them was very good from the 1st day. We received a drawing and estimate in a timely manner. We were able to alter and add on things easily. The office staff and workers were wonderful to work with. We love our new patio and are so happy we chose them to install it!

I would not recommend ordering mulch from here.
When the driver showed up, I told him I wanted it dumped on the grass rather than the driveway because we have a large yard and I wanted it closer to where I was going to be working. He was irate about that and was complaining that he couldn’t work around the power lines in my yard. Again, we have a large yard so he had plenty of options, but he settled on dumping the entire 7 yards on top of 5 plants that I had just purchased and planted. This annoyed me for the obvious reason that perennials are not cheap and he buried $50 worth of them. But the real problem was that this mulch was SOUR. This stuff was so acidic, handling the pile would burn you to the touch. Clearly, I had just spent a couple hundred dollars on seven yards so I had no choice but to spread it and it visibly burned every plant.
I was very disappointed that I spent so much money on mulch that was supposed to benefit my garden and make it look beautiful. Instead, a lot of my brand new plants died as a result of the low pH and the ones that hung on looked terrible for the rest of the growing season.

Ordered 2 yards of dirt and this is how it was delivered knowing it was going to rain and completely blocked our driveway. I called and spoke to the manager who decided she would talk slow to me in a condescending and passive aggressive manner. She let me know they had no idea it was going to rain and they do not control the weather lol then said on invoice we were notified it would be dropped on skirt of driveway and we “agreed” Never once in call did I get loud or belligerent but I did let her know NEVER again will this company get one red cent from us again. Rude when you work in customer service the manager shouldn’t be the aggressor ever. We are definitely in a labor shortage and people are in place to fill spots.....I wish I could give no stars

We were redoing our landscaping and went here for our shrubs and plants. The variety was wonderful and their plants and shrubs were well watered, manicured and looked amazing! We were helped by Josh who was professional, patient and extremely helpful in assisting us with making choices for our landscaping. Their pricing was good and we even got a Veteran’s discount. Five stars for Raupp Brothers Landscape and five stars for Josh!!

We recently had a patio block extension added to our existing stamped concrete patio. I am sure it was an unusual request. Long story on our end. Eric, Brian, Tony and his crew did a fantastic job and made it look as good as possible. It took us a while to get it done, but we are very happy with the quality and workmanship. The installers worked hard and were very courteous. The yard was left clean and they even left an area for flowers. The office staff are wonderful and very helpful as well. Highly recommend them.
