This is a great local residential farm that supports and educates the community on the importance of growing food. They have a weekly farmers market on Wednesdays from 3-7 all with local vendors. They have a few plant sales every spring and their market going into November. The fall festival is a great family event and the community is one of kind. They accept ebt/snap as well and do pay what you can on their produce. Come support local business and fill your fridge with KC sourced produce, honey, cheese, coffee, mushrooms, salsas, tea, and much more!

One time we went for library story time in the greenhouse, and afterward a worker was walking past us and voluntarily offered the kids a taste of the mustard greens she had just harvested! They truly do want to share their knowledge and love for the earth with all!

Love KC Farm School.
Such knowledge people and their vendors are great too.
They really care about the environment and are willing to share their knowledge without 'shoving it down your throat', so to speak.
And you can't beat the fresh produce and environmentally friendly products. It's way better tasting than the store bought stuff.

What a hidden gem! This little farm offers great opportunities for schools, classrooms and students of all ages to learn how to grow and cultivate healthy food. But you don’t have to be a student…just a lover of being outdoors will do! Go check out their farmers market, or just stop in to buy some plants!

This is a wonderful teaching farm that does CSA and grows food for local nonprofit organizations. Chickens, tons of tomatoes, corn, and a beautiful pollinator Garden. All of it is smack in the middle of the city! It's so inspiring to see stuff like this in the community.

KC Farm School at Gibbs Road has a fun learning program for the kids and adults. It shows the kids the positive results from hard work that will stay with them into their adulthood. The plants and flowers are healthy, strong and beautiful. I love it and had fun volunteering.
