One of my favorite places in Van Nuys. It’s so cool. Especially if you love craft beer. The food is inexpensive and incredibly delicious.

Park in the neighborhood and walk or take an Uber because it is located in the middle of a bunch of tow yards and industrial complexes. Parking is impossible.

Updating my review:

They came out with a new kool-aid inspired seltzer that is absolutely amazing and dangerous. I chugged 3 drinks in this heat and it felt like I was a kid again. PIZZA IS BACK AND JUST AS AMAZING!! Best place to beat the heat and enjoy some damn amazing beer and pizza. Wish I could give it more stars. And the staff is very friendly, fun to chat with and the patrons are also fun and friendly. Family/group friendly also, games available to play and my personal favorite spot to be in the Valley when I can come.

This Brewery is the only one I've ever been to in the U.S. that serves British style REAL ALES from a cask! I lived in the U.K. for several years, and grew to love the British-style real ales from a cask. It's an acquired taste for Americans, especially since they are poured at cellar temperature, not ice-cold. So if this is your thing, you must visit MacLeod in Van Nuys. It's not in the best neighborhood and parking is a challenge. But I literally can't tell a difference between a British cask ale in the U.K. and the stuff brewed at this pub.

This place instantly became my favorite brewery in LA area. I visited on a whim driving down on my way back from Ojai and discovered that they had a lot of things I loved and was never able to find in LA. Traditional British ales are aplenty here, cool staff who know what they're talking about and solid pizza make this place make me wish I lived closer. Their Scottish Ale, their Irish Red and even their rice pilsner stand out on their own. Coupled with their amazing fennel sausage pizza they make it for a unique brewery experience. Great brews, great eats and super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Can't wait to go back!

Why would I come back:: Don't be deceived by all the body shops in the neighborhood, well worth the stop in Van Nuys. I love cask beers, and these are wonderful. Great selection of taps, nitros, cask and even beer cocktails. Dart lanes in the back, great patio space and great beers.

I enjoy coming here when I'm in the area. Hidden, parking is difficult but it is worth it. Love coming on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon to hang out and enjoy some good beer and delicious food. Absolutely love the fougasse and beer cheese!! And the spicy meatball sliders are yummy!!

The beers are amazing, and cask is where they really shine. My favorites are the best and the king’s taxes. Their pizza is also amazing. A great family environment as they are pet friendly, have really good small-batch soft drinks, corn hole and lots or dartboards. We love coming here.
